Happy Easter to everyone.

OOPS ALL BERRIES!

We do not have an official spring run for chinook salmon here in Michigan. There is a small amount of chinook that have this recessive spring spawn gene force them up to attempt to spawn. I only hear of a few being caught every spring across the whole state.

This is my first springer and man was it an awesome surprise. The water is still pretty muddy and this beauty faught us all over the place before I got a glance at it and I thought it might have been a king when I got my first glance at the gray tones and big tail.

Fall chromers might hit harder but the fish this time of year can be really bring the looks.

The itch is becoming overwhelming. All this talk with friends at fly shows and tying events all winter about flats fishing.

I cannot wait to put some time in on thr freshwater flats this summer. Although it's a great time fishing for carp, bass, and other species the smell of salt is always missing.

The need to go chase anything that tails is real.

The memories we made with .lowellbebout were some awesome ones.

Its Bobbin weekend cant wait to see everyone tomorrow and show some secrets and talk about the upcoming season.

2016 was also the year we got engaged.
