That player is Abby. 👏

Today, we're celebrating not just an incredible athlete, but an amazing teammate, friend, and young lady who makes our team stronger every single day. Whether she's blocking pitches, making big plays at third, or cheering on her teammates, Abby always gives her all.

OUR GIRLS SHOWED UP AT THE MI BLUE CHIP CAMP! 🔥

From offensive work and mental training… to catching, defense, and showcase games, our athletes were EVERYWHERE yesterday! 💪🥎

They competed. They learned. They supported each other. And most importantly, they represented our organization with confidence and pride! 💙

One of the biggest highlights? Nearly our ENTIRE TEAM attended—and the college coaches noticed! 👀👏

Having so many athletes committed to growing their game, stepping outside their comfort zones, and taking advantage of opportunities like this says so much about who we are as a team.

We had girls making plays, putting in work, asking questions, building connections, and showing everyone what our organization is all about! 🚀

And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that Abby Davis stepped up for her FIRST at-bat of the showcase game and sent one OVER THE FENCE! 💣🥎🔥

To every athlete who participated in the offensive and mental training sessions, catching sessions, defensive work, and showcase games, we are incredibly proud of you!

Yesterday wasn’t just about being seen.

It was about getting better.
It was about showing up.
It was about representing something bigger than yourself.

And our girls did exactly that. 💪🔥

Our entire Michigan Sabercats Foster family is heartbroken as we grieve the loss of a beautiful young lady from Hopkins and the Caledonia Chaos Organization.

To Ryan, Jennifer, and your entire family, our hearts ache for you. We will miss seeing your daughter both on and off the field. No parent or family should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain you are facing.

To her coaches and softball squad, we hope you find strength in one another and comfort in the memories you shared with your teammate. Please know that your softball family stands with you. You are not alone.

You all are in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that God surrounds you with His love, grants you strength for each day, and brings comfort and peace in the midst of this heartbreaking time.

There’s something different about this time of year.

The regular season is in the books. The lessons, the long practices, the highs and the tough moments have all led us here. Now comes a new chapter.

This weekend, we begin our college exposure tournament run at the Michigan Blue Chip Summer Slam in Byron Center. It’s the first of two opportunities to compete against outstanding talent while playing in front of college coaches and continuing to grow our game.

This Independence Day, we're celebrating more than just a holiday. We're celebrating teammates who become family, memories made at the ballpark, and the privilege of playing the game we love.

From summer practices to tournament weekends, these girls continue to represent the Sabercats with hard work and pride. ❤️🤍💙

We couldn't be more proud to watch them represent the Sabercats, their families, and our softball community with passion, humility, and determination.

There are days when a championship is won by a superstar. And then there are days like today. Days when it’s won by every single player.

Three more games. Three more battles.

Game 1: 5-2.
A complete team effort that set the tone.

Game 2: 8-7.
A heavyweight fight that demanded composure and belief until the final out.

Championship Game: 8-7.
One more test. One more opportunity to prove who we are. Every pitch mattered. Every at-bat mattered. Every defensive play mattered. Every voice in the dugout mattered.

Because that’s what championship softball looks like. 👏🏼

It’s the player who comes through with the big hit.

It’s the teammate who moves a runner.

It’s the pitcher who battles through adversity.

It’s the defense that refuses to let the game slip away.

It’s the player who may not have filled the stat sheet but never stopped encouraging the teammate beside her.

To our amazing cheering section and our future Sabercats, thank you for bringing the energy all weekend long. Hearing your voices and seeing your excitement reminded our girls that they’re playing for something bigger than themselves.

This championship belongs to all of you.

Three games. Three wins. One incredible team.

Today’s scores only tell part of the story. What they don’t show is the grit, resilience, and heart these girls displayed every single inning.

The day started with a complete team effort. Mira set the tone in the circle, striking out nine batters in just three innings, while Daphnie, Evelyn, Paige, Kaylynn, and Emilee all contributed at the plate to help secure the opening win 5-3.

Game two belonged to the offense. Paige was on fire, collecting three hits and swiping two bases. Cam gave us a moment we’ll never forget, blasting her first career home run, a three-run shot that had the entire Sabercat family celebrating. Vanessa and Daphnie added RBI singles, and Mira tossed another complete-game shutout to keep the momentum rolling, taking the win 8-0.

Then came the final game.

After falling behind, these girls could have folded. Instead, they answered with everything they had. Evelyn went a perfect 2-for-2, driving in two runs with a triple and a double. Paige ignited the offense by stealing home. Avis delivered a clutch RBI, Daphnie came through with the go-ahead hit, and Mira slammed the door in relief with a scoreless inning and three strikeouts, clinching the win 7-6.

That’s who this team is. 💙🖤

They never quit. They trust one another. They compete for each other.

And because of that…

This squad have now won 12 of their last 15 games!

Even more exciting, we’ll head into Championship Sunday as the #1 seed!

She stepped into the batter’s box like she has so many times before. Countless practices. Countless swings. Countless hours spent chasing a dream that sometimes feels just out of reach.

Then it happened.

One swing. One crack of the bat. One ball that just kept carrying.

The dugout erupted. Parents were on their feet. Teammates were screaming. And as Cam rounded the bases with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen, everyone knew they had just witnessed something special.
