Today, Hansill & Rigsby Livestock remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honors the incredible courage shown on one of our nation’s darkest days.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, first responders, and everyday Americans who ran toward danger to help others.

We remember the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

25 years later, we still remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity America showed that day.

May we never forget those we lost.
May we never forget those who answered the call.
And may we never forget what it means to stand together as Americans.

Things will be a little different for our October 10th C**t and Performance Horse Sale. Please note that the sale times and selling order have changed for this sale.

Gates open at 8:00 AM
Tack sale begins at 10:00 AM
Horse sale begins at 1:00 PM

🐴 Horse Sale Order:

1. Horses under 2 years old (registered and non registered)
2. Registered horses
3. Non-registered catalog horses
4. Non-catalog horses

📝 Sellers if you would like to supply a PPE for your horse it is recommended, but not required.

Please arrive early so you have plenty of time to view the tack and look over the horses before the sale begins.

🚨 Important Update: September Auctions Cancelled & Upcoming Event Schedule 🚨

Due to pending severe weather and potential tropical storms, we have heard from many of our out-of-state buyers and sellers who are understandably concerned about travel and safety. Because their safety and the well-being of the horses come first, we have made the difficult decision to cancel September auctions.

Here is what you need to know moving forward:

Next Auction (October 10th): We will return with a Special Sale on Saturday, October 10, 2026! Now is the time to get your registered horses and babies ready to sell. Stay tuned for the official flyer and upcoming time changes.

Next Event (September 25th): As of right now, our barrel race on Friday, September 25th is still on schedule. We are monitoring the weather closely and will provide updates if anything changes.Thank you all for your understanding and support.

We have a tack dealer filling in this month who is coming all the way from Oklahoma with a large selection of nice tack, including good using saddles and quality leather tack!

If you have a horse you need to get off your feed bill, now is the time to get it advertised and sold! We are currently accepting consignments and will begin advertising horses before the sale.

We’re excited to welcome another tack dealer this month who is traveling all the way from Oklahoma with a nice load of tack!

We also have some nice horses already consigned. Horse listings will begin the week leading up to the auction, so keep an eye on our page for pictures, videos, and additional information.

This will also be the first auction under our new Soundness Guarantee Rule. If a horse is represented as sound, the buyer will have 48 hours from the day of purchase to have the horse inspected by a licensed veterinarian. Please see our previous post for the complete rules and details.
