A beautiful tribute to Annie and her family đź–¤
A Myrtle Beach-area dance teacher's resilience and warmth inspired many. Her legacy lives on.
Annie Hucks' path was always uphill. She faced kidney cancer as a child and a brain tumor as an adult. But for more than 15 years, she taught kids to dance with verve, faith and an irrepressible joy. Â

Our staff has been completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and food at the studio.
It's been the most beautiful thing! We have been incredibly blessed by the hugs, the tears, the laughter, the meals, the availability for counseling and so much dancing!
👉 We are going to take Wednesday off and meet back on Thursday and Friday from 4:00-8:00 just like the past two days.
We'll see you back in the studio for more of the same Thursday. Thank you for sharing your love of Miss Annie with all of us!

To our amazing Silver Lining Family,
The outpouring of love that we have received from all of you over the past two days has been more than we could have ever imagined. Our staff has been praying about what this week should look like around the studio. We feel that if Miss Annie were here she would say that we need community and we need to worship. She would want to “love on her babies” and make sure they were ok and hearing truth.
With this in mind we have decided to cancel all classes to allow our families to grieve, but instead to open the studio doors from 4:00-8:00 each day in order to honor Miss Annie’s legacy, love on one another, eat, laugh, and cry as we thank God for the blessing it was to know her. We will have pastors and counselors on hand to pray with and comfort those in need and a collection of staff members ready to receive our sweet students and their families.
Feel free to drop in at any time and share your favorite Miss Annie memories, watch old showcases, and celebrate her life well lived.
Thank you again to all of you who have called, texted, brought food, and posted testimonies of how you have seen God’s faithfulness through Annie’s incredible life.
All our love,
The Staff at Silver Lining
