The garden has been keeping us busy all summer, but every now and then something shows up that makes you forget about what needs picking, pruning or watering
Canned, dehydrated, preserved and ready for fall and winter snacking!
Some fish you remember a little longer than others.
Personal best flounder at 22 7/8 inches, caught at Pawleys Island on artificial bait. Felt that thump, set the hook, and knew pretty quickly this wasn’t the usual suspect.
Sherry happened to have the camera rolling for the whole thing, which makes this one even better.
New PB. 22 7/8”. And I earned every damn eighth. 😂
Went outside to check on the tomatoes and walked straight into a crime scene. 🍅😂
Chewed leaves, suspicious droppings, and not one, but TWO hornworms caught in the act.
Then, right as I’m explaining why I don’t like using pesticides, a hummingbird flies right up to remind me exactly why. 🐛🐦
We spend a lot of our lives saying we’ll do it when we have more time.
Lately, we’ve been getting a little better at making the time.
A couple kayaks, some fishing rods, crab traps and a day together in Cherry Grove. Nothing extraordinary happened. And somehow, that was the best part.
