Not sure if your suppressor is actually dirty? There are a few signs worth watching for.
Carbon, lead and other fouling build up inside a suppressor every time you shoot. Eventually, that buildup can start making itself known.
A few things to look for:
• Weight gain — If your suppressor is noticeably heavier than when it was clean, you’re carrying around carbon and fouling that didn’t come with it from the factory.
• Visible buildup — Take a look at the areas you can safely inspect. Heavy carbon deposits and fouling are a pretty good indication that it’s time for a cleaning.
• Performance or alignment concerns — On the extreme end, excessive buildup or other issues can contribute to problems inside the suppressor. If you’re seeing evidence of a light baffle strike, stop shooting and inspect the suppressor, mounting system and firearm before continuing.
The easiest approach? Don’t wait until it gets that far.
Aegis Gun Care has suppressor cleaning solutions, brush kits, soak systems and the Aegis 2230 Suppressor Cleaner designed to help remove carbon buildup and fouling and keep your suppressor maintenance routine simple.
Keep it clean. Keep it maintained. Keep shooting.

GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT CLEANING YOUR SUPPRESSOR? START HERE.
Suppressor cleaning can get confusing fast.
How often should you clean one?
Is soaking enough?
What about ultrasonic cleaners?
How do you actually get the loosened carbon and fouling back *out* of a sealed suppressor?
That’s why we built CleanMySuppressor.com
It’s an education-focused resource from Aegis Gun Care designed to dig into the real-world questions surrounding suppressor maintenance, compare different cleaning methods, and share what we’re learning along the way.
And we want your feedback too.
If there’s a suppressor cleaning question you want answered, a method you want us to test, or something you think the industry needs to talk about, let us know. The goal is to keep building a resource that helps suppressor owners make better decisions about maintaining their equipment.
Of course, all of that testing and development is also a big part of why we built the Aegis 2230 Suppressor Cleaner.
Instead of relying only on soaking, the 2230 combines cleaning solution with pressurized fluid movement to break down buildup and actively flush carbon and fouling from inside the suppressor. The compact bench-top system is designed for sealed .22–.30 caliber suppressors and does the job without requiring suppressor disassembly.
So if you want to learn more about suppressor cleaning, start at:

Suppressors are having a moment.
Between the Fifth Circuit recognizing suppressors as protected “Arms” under the Second Amendment and the latest challenges surrounding the NFA, there is more attention on suppressor ownership than we have seen in a long time.
Where all of this ultimately lands is still being worked out in the courts, but one thing is pretty easy to predict:
More suppressors in use means more dirty suppressors that eventually need to be cleaned.
That is exactly why we built the Aegis 2230 Suppressor Cleaner.
The 2230 is a compact, bench-top system designed to dissolve and flush carbon buildup and fouling from deep inside sealed suppressors without requiring disassembly. Whether you are a suppressor owner, gun shop, gunsmith, range, or dealer, proper suppressor maintenance is only becoming more relevant as the market continues to grow.
The laws may be changing.
Carbon buildup isn't.
Keep your suppressors running clean with Aegis Gun Care.

PUT YOUR 2230 TO WORK
If you own a gun shop or run a gunsmithing business, the Aegis 2230 Suppressor Cleaner can be more than another machine on the bench. It can become another service you offer your customers.
Suppressor ownership continues to grow, and sooner or later those suppressors need maintenance. Instead of sending your customers somewhere else, you can give them another reason to bring their gear back to your shop.
The Aegis 2230 is a compact, bench-top suppressor cleaning system designed to flush carbon buildup and fouling from sealed .22–.30 caliber suppressors without disassembly. Its closed-loop system continuously circulates and filters the cleaning solution while the internal spray system reaches deep into the suppressor.
For a gun shop or gunsmith, that means:
• Add suppressor cleaning to your service menu
• Create an additional revenue opportunity from equipment already on your bench
• Give suppressor customers another reason to return to your shop
• Offer faster, purpose-built suppressor maintenance in-house
• Differentiate your shop with a service many customers may not be able to do easily themselves
The 2230 is already working in gun shops and gunsmithing businesses, and we’re continuing to hear great feedback from the people putting these machines to work.
Your customers bought the suppressor. Now give them somewhere to have it cleaned.

Simple controls. Serious cleaning power.
The Aegis Gun Care 2230 was designed to keep suppressor cleaning straightforward, right down to the controls.
There are only two buttons on the machine. The flush-mounted button is your main power control. The second is a thermal protection reset, included as a precaution in the unlikely event the machine ever overheats.
Under normal operation, you should never need to touch the thermal reset. In fact, Aegis has never had a 2230 trigger its thermal protection to date.
No complicated controls. No unnecessary steps. Just a purpose-built suppressor cleaning system designed to make maintenance faster, easier, and more consistent.
If you are tired of spending hours soaking, scraping, and fighting carbon and lead buildup, it may be time to upgrade your cleaning setup.

Stop scrubbing. Start cleaning smarter.
40,000+ rounds. No cleaning. One very dirty SilencerCo Chimera 300.
This is where you can actually SEE the Aegis 2230 doing the work.
The suppressor cleaning solution starts out clear blue. As the 2230 continuously pushes pressurized solution through the internal chambers of the suppressor, that blue starts turning into a murky black mess.
That color change is carbon, fouling and buildup being flushed out of a suppressor that has seen more than 40K rounds without a cleaning.
And this wasn't exactly an easy test subject.
The Chimera 300 is built as a hard-use, multi-caliber suppressor, and this one had plenty of hard use behind it.
The Aegis 2230 uses a precision perforated spray tube to direct cleaning solution deep inside sealed suppressors, then continuously circulates and filters that solution through its closed-loop system. No suppressor disassembly required.
Sometimes the best demonstration is just watching the cleaning solution change color.
Clear blue in.
40,000+ rounds of grime out.

Here’s the part most people don’t expect about the Aegis 2230:
All that fluid moving through the system? It has surprisingly little effect on the pressure of the cleaning jets doing the actual work.
The 2230 is designed to continuously drive pressurized cleaning solution through the internal geometry of your suppressor, attacking the places you normally can’t reach.
Carbon buildup. Lead fouling. The nasty stuff buried deep inside the can.
The fluid circulates. The jets keep working. And the fouling keeps getting flushed out.
That combination of chemistry, pressure, and continuous circulation is what makes the Aegis 2230 different from simply dropping a suppressor into a container and letting it soak.
No guesswork. No hoping the cleaner eventually reaches the problem.
Just a purpose-built suppressor cleaning system engineered to get inside and do the work.
That’s the 2230.
Want to see just how much comes out of a “clean enough” suppressor? Keep watching.

We heard a few questions at GOALS this weekend about the low stock on some of our Aegis l**e products, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update.
The short version: we’re here, we’re growing, and we’re not going anywhere.
As a small company, we rely on larger manufacturing partners to mix some of our chemical products. Every once in a while, timelines and production schedules get outside of our control. Right now, we’re in the process of moving that production to a new partner, and the transition is taking a little longer than we originally expected.
That’s the reason for the limited l**e inventory. Nothing more dramatic than that.
In the meantime, our suppressor cleaning products, Aegis Cleaner, grease, and other products are still available and shipping as usual.
We really appreciate everyone who stopped by at GOALS, asked questions, picked up products, and continues to support what we’re building at Aegis Gun Care. We’re working through the transition and looking forward to getting the l**e products fully stocked again.
Thanks for sticking with us. We appreciate it more than you know.
