Boise Man Arrested on Warrant for Strangulation, R**e, Burglary, Aggravated Assault and Several Additional Charges

On September 21, 2026, Nampa Police officers responded to a 911 text for help in the 2000 block of White Oak Ct. in Nampa. Upon arrival, officers located an adult victim who had been strangled and r***d by a known suspect. The victim identified the suspect as Christian Raven Wood, 35 years old, of Boise. He fled the scene before police officers arrived.

Through their investigation, officers learned Wood was on active probation for a violent offense in Ada County, that he had a history of standoffs with law enforcement, and that he told the victim in this violent act that he would force “suicide by cop” if confronted by officers.

With the assistance of Nampa Police Persons Crimes Detectives, an arrest warrant for Wood was secured for attempted strangulation, burglary, r**e, and aggravated assault with a bond of $1 million.

The Nampa Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (S.E.T.) helped coordinate a multi-county effort to locate Wood, who removed his court-imposed GPS ankle monitor from his previous court case(s) in an effort to flee.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., with the assistance of the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Task Force, Ada County Probation and Parole, Boise Police Department, and Nampa PD SET, Wood was taken into custody without incident in Ada County.
"The teamwork displayed between different divisions within the Nampa Police Department and several assisting agencies was critical in locating Mr. Wood and getting him into custody for these violent acts, said Cpl. Jeff Stark of the Nampa Police Persons Crimes Unit. “We appreciate the relationships with our partner agencies and their continued assistance in keeping our communities safe.”
