Big shout out and thank you to Newmarket, NH and Nantucket resident Chris Wolfe who provided chase boat / transfer boat es**rt in a demanding harbor to make the goals of WMUR Channel 9's New Hampshire Chronicle TV program interview happen.

The hopeful goal was, WMUR personalities would start out on Lynx, do their filming and interview with Captain Donald Peacock of Lynx, if proper conditions prevailed, transfer the TV crew over the rail from Lynx to Maine Maritime Academy's, Arctic Schooner Bowdoin, Captain Alex Peacock's command, for a father son, America's 250th, Tall Ship Boston connection, from New Hampshire, and it worked, Chris Wolfe made it all come together with a successful transfer.

Erin Feleau and cameraman Chris were great, and properly pulled off the over the rail maneuvers between the three boats and got some great footage.

Chris Wolfe has answered many calls from Lynx as a supporter, enthusiast and friend, Lynx captains and crew continue to be in good hands.

Tomorrow Saturday July 11, 2026 the Sail Boston Parade of Sail, Tall Ships from around the world will be honoring America's 250th in Boston, if it were not for Boston ther would not have been a Revolution, thank you Mr Hancock, Mr Rever, Mr Adams, Mr Warren, Mr Glover, Mr Gerry, Mr Sullivan, Mr. Stark, Mr Wipple, Sons of Liberty, Minutemen and Patriots.

And the icing on the cake tonight, Nantucket students from Egan Maritime Institute Sea of Opportunities program arrived for training and the festival.

July 8, 2026 Cutty Hunk, Mass.

It has been 9 months since Nantucket's and St Simons Island, Tall Ship Lynx, left New England waters, and tonight we are back. This image is of days gone bye. Lynx in ships company with the Arctic Schooner Bowdoin, from Maine Maritime Academy, riding on their port bowers, is a sight to behold.

America's 250th recounts the history of the Revolution and it was not a stright line. Neither is the life of these vessels underway, weather, current, forcast, people, all have influence on where we end up, and tonight, there is a Gam in Cutty Hunk!

It is no surprise these two vessels dropped here, you see captain Alex, Bowdoin, and captain Sean, Lynx, go way back together, Cutty Hunk is only one of many ports these masters join each other. In a previous career they lived in Portland, Maine and sailed Schooners there, in a very aggressive day sail market, I know neither one of them would trade what they are doing tonight for that day job in Portland.

I enjoy this image immensely, you see Lynx fits well in harbors not frequented by a traditionally rigged ships, although Cutty Hunk is an exception because of the frequent visits from my mentor, captain Bob Douglas, with Shenandoah.

Both Lynx and Bowdoin are well within striking comfort of the favorable tide at the west end of the Cape Cod Canal at 11h00 to 12h00 approch tomorrow Thursday, and carry that slide to Boston. We know there will be many well wishers on the banks and maybe we will have a gun salute, or two for you as we slide to Boston.

There are Canal webcams for viewing and maybe Mass Martitime has one, I haven't looked.

In any event, the organizers at Sail Boston did a magnificent job 5 years ago selecting the weather for the Grand Arrival of Tall Ships at Sail Boston 250 this weekend, with USS CONSTITUTION, Old IRONSIDES leading the Parade in on Saturday, July 11, 2026, starting 09h00 with live TV coverage on WCVB Channel 5 Boston, live stream, starting at 08h00 for a once in a generation and a half, of a Maritime Excellence occasion.

Wow, what a weekend, Parade of Sail, both Friday and Saturday, Sunday dawned with many people and wrap around the block lines, for open boat deck tours.

We have a very exciting week ahead, continued operations in New York, weather planning for timing the transit to Boston, (Cape Cod Canal transit time will be announced)
Welcoming TV film crew from New Hampshire's, WMUR Channel 9, Chronicle aboard Friday, July 10, with captain Alex Peacock of the Maine Maritime Academy's Arctic Schooner Bowdoin and captain Don Peacock of the Tall Ship Lynx, Parade of Sail into Boston Harbor, Saturday July 11, starting 09h00.
Lynx will welcome aboard Boston TV, WCVB Meteorologist, Kelly Anne Cicalese, for on deck reporting working with WCVB hosts at Castle Hill Desk for Parade Review.

In Boston, July, 12 to 15th there are many opportunities to sail aboard LYNX, in Boston Harbor, tickets are available at Sail Boston website click on ships and scroll to LYNX to view the schedule.

You are welcome to bring your own food, drink, spirits, aboard, for the sailing and we look forward to sharing the ship with you, tickets are very reasonably priced.

Commemorative hats, Tee Shirts, Glassware, Books, and Fancy work will be available.

It was a grand display of Maritime Excellence, as 45 traditional rigged ships, organized from around the world to pay respect and recognition of America's Declaration of Independence, signed 250 years ago.

The weather worked out, the ships were ready, it was a maritime display that is generational, pictures and conversation will be enough to hold us until the next display, the 300th in 2076.

The spirit of 1776 is alive and well.

Happy birthday 250, of some of the bravest Colonists declaring Independence from the Crown at risk of everything for them, life, family, home, their principles and Patriotism and pursuit of Life, Liberty and Freedom was at the tip of the spear.

Direct Descendent of William Whipple, Signer NH, Lynx's Bosun Sam Whipple, walks our decks today, 250 years since his ancestor put it all on the line.

The Declaration of Independence dated July 2 to 4, 1776.

All of us on Nantucket's and St Simons Islands, Tall Ship Lynx are proud to be a small part in the view of the Nation and the world.
Woodson Woods, thank you for your vision, creating Privateer Lynx, to be shared, I hope you approve of our continued stewardship in furthering the mission.

Congratulations Captain Sean, cheifmate, Navy Ensign Smith, Bosun Whipple, Deckhand Jojo, Nina, Aly, Levi, Gunner Troy Nathaniel Ingram, Cooks John and Mike, Volunteers Chuck, Kelly, Todd, Clint, Engineer Drew, you all played the most important part in getting us to America's Birthday celebration of 250 years, today is your day.

To the ship AJ Meerwald, you helped set a highbar and many memories with our shipmate Troy Nathaniel Ingram, he always remembered you fondly.

To our sailors of the past thank you for putting Lynx in your history.

To our Port of Registry Nantucket and our winter homeport, St Simons Island, Georgia, thank you for accepting us and allowing Lynx to be your self proclaimed Offshore Ambassador.

All these images are screen shots from LYNX'S transit to New York Harbor, most representing the area and anchorage off Sandy Hook, NJ.

This voyage to America's Birthday 250 years in the making for Lynx started 2 years ago, when reality hit me, my first official notification was with Carlisle Jensen at Egan Maritime Institute of Nantucket, that 2026 would look different than our normal scope of work together, lets see what we can do to not loose the momentum we have worked at for the last 12 years.

LYNX's whole thought process has been switched up to do our part in embracing the stewardship of LYNX, to live up to the standards and public expectations, create new opportunities that warrant our custody of this National Treasure, Tall Ship Lynx.

The fun stuff, the books, the merchandise, the schedule.
In Nantucket 2025 we started shifting from our era of representation, The War of 1812 to the Revolutionary War, and what could not have been a better segway to the message than to adopt before each sailing than that of our good friend and Award Winning Nantucket, Author Nathaniel Philbrick and his Trilogy of the Revolutionary War plus One, Bunker Hill, Valiant Ambition, In the Hurricanes Eye, and the plus One, Travels with George, all four are highly recommended

Pen to paper, no words flow better than thoes of Philbrick's, placing the reader in the pages that bring the struggle of immense odds with nothing in the Colonists favor to prevail against the Tyranny imposed against our success. To honor this new era for LYNX, we started flying the 1777 Betsy Ross Banner of a circle of 13 stars, for 13 Colonies.

But the hard part was ahead of us.
The needs of the ship; you see as public and as beautiful and busy as we are, LYNX'S, operation is not enough to sustain the needs and demands of a wooden vessel to live up to her standard of build, we rely on the donations, gifts and Treasure from others supplemented with operation income.

In the past two years we have upgraded major assets the ship demands, new sails, small boat and motor, stove, AIS, Inverter/ Charger, on and on, we are good stewards of your gifts.

Then comes the harder part.
Captain Sean and I knew we wanted to do a down rigging to prepare for LYNX for the world to see, with proactive maintenance the vessel requires. Captain Sean Canniff was the right man for the management of the project, but it grew beyond the scope originally anticipated.

Thank you captain for seeing it through, thank you to our crew for stepping up beyond a reasonable work load and often working through adverse weather, thank you to the donors that helped the project move along, thank you to the volunteers that not only helped in every capacity but in your boost to our morale, thank you for the food brought to the ship.

Then came the hardest part, the passing of our beloved shipmate Troy Nathaniel Ingram The Last Privateer, in April, by the hands of a person whom has yet to present themselves to authorities and answer for your actions of Hit and Run, Vehicular Homicide, we are waiting, do the right thing.

In the heat of the work, a pace that could not be interrupted, we had to stop, pause and comprehend what has happened.
Tough, yes, tough, sad, denial, loss and emotions none of us were prepared to process, everyone stepped up, supported each other as we continue to do.
Troy was the first crewmember I sat down over two years ago to secure him for service to the ship for America's 250th.

Beyond the beauty of these pictures, all screen grabs from the internet, people admiring Nantucket's and St Simons Islands Tall Ship Lynx. There is a bigger story behind the pictures, not an easy one and our financial needs still exceed forecasted operational revenue, so please if you are inspired by the people, commitment, ship and future we can use your support and Treasure.

We will continue to post extrodinary images, we will continue to share our small world in a bigger picture.

We are in a very unique position and have a respondsability to share the ship, that is what we are charged to do. There are only 48 ships that have come from every corner of the world, that will generate images that will out live us all.

From a kid that graduated in 1976, saw the Bicentennial of Tall Ships in '76 who grew up in a town that's zip code is 01776 to sail a traditional rigged ship in the Parade of Sail 250th, in 2026, and share that with my son captain Alex Peacock with the Arctic Schooner Bowdoin, from Maine Maritime Academy, to share with my senior captain Sean Canniff, the effort he has made to make a better foundation to make a better ship as she ages, to represent as self proclaimed Ambassador to our North and South Islands, Nantucket and St Simons Island.

Thank you crew, thank you to friends and family that are burdened by our schedule.

July 2, 2026, Atlantic Highlands, NJ.

Captain Sean, set his sights yesterday at haulback of the port bower, for Atlantic Highlands, NJ and America's game in the World Cup in time to be ashore for viewing,.... check.

The power of the interweb allows us to see advancement of Lynx up the East Coast. It looks like we have some fans ashore in NJ, these images were found online of our arrival.

Lynx, today will shift and take position at Graves End, NYC Harbor for tomorrow's Class B and C Parade of Sail, Lynx is class B, a small tall in this neighborhood of heavy's.

Also a teaser, Lynx, on Saturday, July 4th, will be es**rting A.R.A Libertad from Argentina, for the 250th.

Tall Ship Lynx's America's 250th cruise continues.

Atlantic Highlands, NJ with her day shape signaling at anchor, Nantucket's and St Simons Island Tall Ship Lynx rides on her port bower in position to take her assigned anchorage tomorrow at Graves End, NY the staging area for the Parade of Sail, Lynx's service is to es**rt the Argentinian Naval Vessel, ARA LIBERTAD, a magnificent 340 foot full rigged ship, we are so honored to es**rt in the number two position for Saturdays, July 4th, Parade of Sail, the largest ariel and ship Parade in history, on America's 250th, what gratitude we have.

After a good transit up the Chesapeake Bay through the Cand D Canal and out Delaware Bay, the prize was to be riding smart in time to go ashore for the FIFA WORLD CUP, AMERICA'S GAME tonight, we checked that box and got the win.

Thursday will be on the slow bell shifting to the assigned anchorage in preperation for Friday's Class B Parade, up and down the East River.

LYNX, in the company of the Class A vessels of International distinction is a "small tall" .

This weekend proves to be a magnificent display of Maritime Excellence, and gathering of International recognition of America's 250 years of Independence.

NBC will cover live the Parade of Sail.
