Rumble Big Man, Rumble!!

Max Wiginton is the next 2027 off the board and headed to Harper College where he will two way.

The work ethic is simply off the charts with this kid. You can tie it but you won't outwork him.

Showing up to dome practices when it's almost a 4 hour round trip drive for him.

Balanced the high school off season demands with staying up on his Canes offseason training.

We believe that Max is just scratching the surface on where he can take his game.

Bonds built during many years playing together, creates something pretty special between the young men in this program.

Alex will be teaming back up with Carson Hamblin at Kirkwood CC next year and will be bringing the pop from the right side with him.

Alex, your ability to continue to show up, persevere and just be gritty when finding a way to make things happen is powerful.

We could just simply say he's a dude but it's definitely more than that.

A young man who has been with Coach DeGeorge and Coach Drago for 8 years.

The type of guy you want to be in the trenches with as a teammate.

Bringing with him to Kirkwood, a lefty swing that is as powerful as it is pure. Can flat out fly in the outfield and track with the best of them.

Carson, we are beyond proud of you kid. Pedal goes one way. Eagles are getting a great one!

17U Scout team brought home PBR's Rock Summer Championship on Monday!

You had feeling with how they had played in Georgia, New Lenox and Westfield that it was only a matter of time until they hoisted hardware this Summer.

Coach DeGeorge and Coach Drago have kept these guys dialed every tournament, even with all the travel going on.

One last run in Marion, IA for the WWBA Battle For the Midwest, let's hunt hardware one more time boys in a Canes uniform!

We are late here, lot of travel and lovely weather delays.

But not one, not two but three championships to celebrate from last weekend!

The 14U Manno boys brought it home at Seminole's Flash of Leather tournament!

Both the 15U Scout and 16U National team won the Team Exposure Crossroads Invite!

15U Scout took on 15U Gold in a great match up of Canes on Canes.

16U National took on a combo team of 16/17U's from ESP that had a couple of 2026's on their roster.

All these teams played outstanding all weekend long!

One last ride this weekend for the high school boys, time for one last hardware hunt!

We are looking to pick up a few more guys to fill out some of our youth teams.

We know there were games and travel going on during our original tryout as well.

If you like being coached hard, having a high standard set and being disciplined we would love to meet you.

Our Naperville location youth make up tryout will be Tuesday July 21st from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Emails of both coaches running the sessions is also provided. Private tryouts are also able to be scheduled if you are unavailable to attend the make up session.

Championship weekends are always special, but they're even better when we get to celebrate them the right way.

A little late on one of these—and that's intentional. We wanted to try and get the 12U Heywood boys their championship hardware in hand before sharing this moment.

Championships are earned long before the final out. They are built during winter training, early morning workouts, countless bullpen sessions, extra swings, defensive reps, and the commitment these athletes make every single day.

We're proud of this group, but we're even more proud of the way they continue to compete, develop, and represent Canes Illinois.

Still to this day, one of the hardest calls that was ever made at Canes Illinois.

A highly talented 14U ball player, who had all the tools but needed to be challenged.

We moved Pax from the top team to the 2nd team at 15U. Most people in this scenario quit. Go to another org. Paxton did the opposite.

He met the challenge head on, went to the second team and hit almost .500. Locked himself in the weight room put on 40lbs, while keeping the speed.

Pull down is now 90+ from the OF with the exit Velo touching 102.

This is what Canes Illinois is about. We don't hand it to you, you go be undeniable and we know that you'll be there in the end.

No hand outs. Nothing given for free. All earned.

The standard continues to rise.

After unveiling our 15U and 16U groups, we’re excited to officially release our 2026 Canes Illinois 17U teams and summer schedules.

At 17U, the spotlight gets brighter. The competition becomes national. The recruiting attention increases. Every inning matters a little more.

This summer, our 17U players will compete against some of the top programs in the country while continuing to develop through elite coaching, high-level competition, and exposure opportunities built to prepare them for the next level.

This group represents everything Canes Illinois baseball is about:
