GV Dance and Fitness

So grateful for the second chance to go see a show — Guys and Dolls was so fun! Amazing choreography and stunning singing as always across the board. And the costumes and hair 😍😍😍🫶 of course. I truly love sharing live performance experiences with my sweet Lily. When I asked her what she thought at intermission she said “when are the dolls coming out, can I play with them?” 😂😂 and in no surprise was hilarious and perfect and I couldn’t stop watching because he is a wildly talented dancer. Rocking the Boat had Lily and me wildin out, it was an immersive experience. And Sue Me had me laughing and crying because it was so pure and layered. 👏👏👏 truly.

Flipping over with how much we love dancing with these families! This gal had not danced before coming to GV Dance last spring and now she’s crushing it and loving class and friends here. So glad to have her in this space.

She is our Preschool Coordinator and Company Coordinator AND will be teaching Pre- Acro, Tap1 and Hip Hop 1 on Mondays, Acro 1 and 2 Tuesdays and Pre-Acro on Saturdays! Annie started dancing at the age of 4 at Main Street Dance Studios in her hometown Panora, Iowa and she’s been dancing ever since! She studied jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, tumbling, acro, & hip hop. She danced competitively with her private studio, and was a member of her school’s dance team for 4 years. Her favorite styles of dance are jazz, lyrical & acro (if she has to pick just 3).
In High School, she sang at several recitals (as requested by her dance teacher, Kristi, who was & still is a huge supporter of her art & music) She went on to graduate from The School For Music Vocations in Creston, Iowa with a degree in Professional Music. After graduating, she worked as a 3 year old preschool teacher at Kid’s Company in Des Moines, Iowa, performed at almost every club & bar, recorded 2 albums & received her Ballet Barre teacher certification. Annie describes her teaching style as “creative & inclusive” and is so excited to share her love for dance, music & performance at GV Dance + Fit!
