Michael & Pedro made PSE so proud by competing in their second ever grappling competition! Thank you to our hosts at Arroyo Grappling Academy and to our friends at Foundation Chicago for all of their help and support.

At PSE we can train someone with no experience to become a boxer, a kickboxer, an MMA athlete or a jiu jitsu competitor. All you need to do is show up and we will gladly take care of the rest.

Coach Jaime shares his experience with us regularly at PSE, we are so lucky to have him as one of our coaches! In this video, Coach Jaime is teaching our boxing class the importance of balance and proper weight distribution. Remember - balance is power. Without balance, you have no power!

Mighty Mena the body snatcher!

I remember the first day he began his training with PSE, just a quiet & shy kid in middle school learning the basics. I had no idea that just a few short years later, he’d become such a fierce competitor!

At the young age of 16, Mena now has 4 kickboxing bouts under his belt. More importantly than his impressive performances in the ring, Mena is a hardworking and humble young man. He helps out with our kids program and guides his younger sister who now also trains with us in our Youth Boxing program!

Saying we are proud of Mena doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about this young champion. When we started our program nearly 10 years ago, we knew that our small class sizes and semi private training would lead to producing some incredible talent. None are more incredible or more talented than Mena. Your future is so bright and we are so glad to be a part of your story.

For years, Danny used to watch us train. I’d see him observe our practices and he’d always tell me that one day he’d join us. I’ve heard the same sort of thing from others. “One day I’ll start”. Sure, sure you will. But Danny wasn’t like the others. He signed up, joined our team and immediately went to work.

A shoulder injury suffered during snowboarding prevented him from competing earlier in the year. He wasn’t deterred. He came back from his injury and did so with a vengeance. He stepped it up. Came to every open mat and sparring session. Asked questions & kept the humble mentality of a beginner despite his skills increasing rapidly. In late September, Danny made his kickboxing debut and showed the world what we at PSE already knew - he was a force to be reckoned with.

Team PSE is for those who dare to dream. The eternal underdogs, the overlooked academy with no advertising, no gimmicks and no bu****it. Just coaches who will take you under their wing and show you everything they know. Let them keep overlooking us. For when they face PSE in competition, they learn very quickly who we are and what we are about.
