If this is your first summer in the NSC, welcome. You've made it through dual meets, heat sheets, early mornings, and concession stand candy negotiations. And now something called "Classic" is on the calendar and everyone around you seems very excited about it.

Here's everything you need to know before your first NSC Classic. 💙

🌊 WHAT IS NSC CLASSIC?
Classic is one of NSC's championship swim meet alongside City Championships. It's bigger, louder, and more electric than any dual meet you've attended this summer. All 20 NSC teams come together to compete, and the energy on the pool deck is something you genuinely have to experience to understand.

🌊 WHO SWIMS AT CLASSIC?
Not every swimmer on the roster automatically qualifies for Classic — swimmers need to attend a certain number of dual meets. If your child has qualified, that is a big deal worth celebrating.

🌊 WHAT TO BRING
Think of Classic as an upgraded meet day that is held at a local high school to accommodate more swimmers, parents, and of course parking! Everything you'd bring to a regular meet — chairs, snacks, water, cash for the concession stand — plus a little extra.

🌊 THE ATMOSPHERE IS DIFFERENT
Dual meets are fun. Classic is something else entirely. The team cheers are louder. You will see swimmers drop time they've been chasing all summer. You will see teammates holding each other up after tough races. That's just Classic doing what Classic does.

🌊 CHEER FOR EVERYONE
At Classic, you're not just cheering for your swimmer. You're cheering for every kid on your team — and honestly, for the incredible young athletes from all 20 teams who have put in an entire summer of early mornings to get to this moment.

🌊 SOAK IT IN
First-time Classic families often say the same thing on the drive home: I had no idea it would be like that. The community. The competition. The way the whole summer suddenly makes sense when you see it all come together in one place.

This is what you've been building toward. Enjoy every single minute of it.
