- note - Phillips Park has a lunch menu available for hot dogs and snacks - All alcohol must be purchased from the course
Format - 18 hole scramble - Each player hits a shot and the group selects the best shot and each player hits from that spot - format continues until the ball is holed or the score reaches a bogey - If the group is shooting for Bogey - pick up and move to the next hole and score a bogey - it is important that we keep pace - if you cannot see the group ahead of you - please keep up and play faster. The faster we play, the more time we have to spend at the after party. Prizes will be awarded to Low score, High Score (Numbskulls), closest to the pin and long drive - Each player will play the white(regular) tees - Players older than 70 can move up a tee box - The entry fee included riding carts. Please observe the course rules.
After Party - Will be next door - north of the golf course at O'Malley's Pub https://omalleysaurora.com/
Prizes will be awarded and we will drink a toast to our fallen brothers and most recent Skull in Heaven - Tom Nemec
Special thanks to Dirk Barenbrugge for organizing the after party festivities - Depending on the weather, we may be outside or inside - I anticipate the first golfers to get off the course by 4:00 - 4:30 and head immediately to O'Malley's. For those who want to have lunch together, the course also has a patio where you can enjoy a hot dog, brat and cold beer. Dirk would like to get an estimate of the number of people attending so please let us know if you are planning to attend. I would also like to thank Rob Nielsen and Tim Nemec for helping organize the annual Skulls brotherhood get together - brush up on the lyrics to Drink Beer and be prepared to continue this classic:

Hello Skull brothers - the Strasky Memorial Skulls golf outing will take place on Friday, August 9th at Phillips Park Golf Course in Aurora - First tee time is noon. We will meet at O'Malley's Pub immediately after golf and celebrate the life of Tom Nemec, who recently left this earth to join heaven. RIP Tom.

The course has changed the rules a bit this year. We will have to make one payment to the course, so I will have to collect money before the golf outing. The cost will be $60. We only have 40 spots so please sign up by sending an email to Tom Clark - [email protected] - you can arrange your own foursome or I can pair you up. You can also call me at (630)308-6194. You will not be registered for the event until I receive your fee. I have zelle and you can mail a check but fees will be required to be collected before the outing. O'Malley's will begin around 4:30 and that is a cash bar/food tab on your own. Please let us know if you are going to attend as we can make the appropriate number of reservations.
