With so many carbs to choose from, it’s tough to know which ones to eat!
The truth is, they all have their place.
Depending on your activity, what time you are active, and what your goals are, the best carb to eat will change!
Energy for workout, refilling glycogen in the muscles, preventing muscle loss, and aiding in recovery are all benefits of different forms of carbohydrates.
A good coach will educate you on what types to eat and when!

I'm sure everyone has heard someone say:
"I am on a diet."
This implies that living a new healthy lifestyle is temporary.
So what's the difference between these 2 scenarios:
A. Someone that loses 30 lbs and a year later has put 40 lbs back on
B. Someone that loses 20 lbs and not only keeps it off but is able to continue making progress for years to come.....
The difference is the 2nd person understands two things:
1.) That to truly get in shape and improve your heath, it requires a permanent lifestyle change
2.) The path to sustainable results is a marathon not a sprint
Dumbbell bench press is one of my favorite exercises for building up your chest!
Why should you do this over Barbell bench press??
Using the dumbbell allows you to train each side of the chest evenly since each side is moved independently. In addition to that, it allows to more flexibility in your hand and elbow position to find that sweet spot. After all, every person is different so hand position and elbow position will very slightly with each person!
You don’t have to eat chicken, rice and broccoli to get fit!!
While chicken is a great source of protein, there are plenty of others that are good as well such as:
Steak
Turkey
Eggs
white fish
Salmon
Lean cuts of pork
Ground beef
Beans
Cottage cheese
Greek yogurt
Nothing says eating clean needs to be boring or repetitive!
With so many diet models to choose from, it can be tough to know what’s real and what isn’t.
Atkins
Keto
Weight watchers
Low carb
Low fat
Fasting
This list goes on. When in reality, they all boil down to the same thing but in different routes. Calories you take in compared to calories you burn. You want to be in a deficit to lose weight, a surplus to gain weight, and eat at maintenance to remain at the same weight.
Knowing where to start and how to adjust can get tricky. That’s when you use a fitness coach!
There is no perfect time to start your fitness journey. You will always find a reason to not start. Just pull the trigger and start today. Your future self will thank you!
