You might think summer vacation is also a workout vacation, and that you will not experience any physical changes by taking a week or two off. However, not only are you sacrificing your fitness gains, but you may also be changing the way your body works. Did you know that physical inactivity for 3 days creates glucose intolerance? 🤯

This means, if you sit on the beach or on your deck for three days reading a book, your muscles are already beginning to alter how your body processes sugar. While complete relaxation may reduce mental stress, it increases physical stress.😬👎

👀Eye fatigue is the most central neurological complaint which can be presented as tension headaches, blurry vision, and even low back pain.

This is commonly known as “computer vision syndrome”

The average collegiate Esport athlete practices around 10 hours daily. That’s more than average for screen time in working adults at 7 hours per day. This is almost HALF of your day spent looking at the computer screen.

Keeping your eyes healthy is extremely important especially when it comes to performance. Using the well known 20 20 20 rule can help reduce eye strain keeping your eyes healthy and on point.

Stare at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. This will help reduce the amount of strain in your eyes reducing inflammation and headaches!
