when I first started my fitness journey I was just a young girl lost in the array of weights and machines, with no idea of what I was doing. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined it taking me to this place in life.
& the crazy thing is, I credit so much of my ability to dream now, my mental toughness and confidence to chase those dreams to the gym and the weights that once upon a time made me doubt myself.
In the gym I became the best version of myself inside and out. And my dream eventually became to inspire & empower other women to do the same.
I’m grateful for the gym for allowing me to realize that I’ve always had it within me, i just needed to see it.
& now I’m grateful to be able to create that space for others to do the same

🔥 FEELING THAT *NEXT DAY BURN*?! 🔥

Let’s talk : Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS)
DOMS occurs when microscopic tears in muscle fibers cause inflammation after intense or unfamiliar exercise. This triggers repair and growth, leading to muscle adaptation. It is a natural part of getting stronger!

Feeling sore after a workout (DOMS) isn’t a sign of how effective the workout was though! So it’s not the goal! You can still get great results without that unbearable soreness. To avoid it, focus on proper warm-ups, gradual progress, and good form. Stretching and recovery are key to feeling strong and ready for your next session!

✨ NOVEMBER GOALS ✨

as we go into the 2nd week of November I thought I’d share some of my goals for this month.
The goal is to be a bit more focused and discipline with my nutrition & movement.
goals:
1. Train 4-5x a week
2. Hit 2 days of cardio
3. Eat 200 calories less than last month (eat more veggies!)
4. Average 7.5 hours of sleep/night
5. Push myself a bit harder in my workouts
To this point my workouts, cardio & sleep have been on point. My nutrition has been a work in progress.
I started the month feeling SUPER STRONG. The past few days have felt a bit rough but there are several elements.
Regardless, I’m looking forward to this challenge & pushing through 🤍
