Meet Jack Cherry. Jack is one of our personal trainers here at Florida Personal Training.

Jack is a national recognized personal trainer who holds multiple certifications from the National Federation of Professional Trainers.

His passion for healthy living was ignited when he began taking part in school sports which led to him becoming more involved with nutrition as well as helping others. This resulted in Jack becoming a personal trainer and to continuously explore the field of wellness.

Get Results By Having A Doctor Of Physical Therapy Consulting With Your Personal Trainer.

When you sign up for doctor-monitored personal training at Florida Personal Training, we start with an initial consultation with one of our physical therapy doctors. They will perform an examination, discuss your medical history, and determine your personal training needs. The doctor will then work with our personal training staff to develop a customized fitness program for you.

We will carefully tailor exercises and routines to meet your individual needs. If you need to strengthen a particular area of the body or if you have a physical ailment that makes extra care necessary, we will take these conditions into account.

As you progress with your training program, our doctors will perform brief periodic check-ups to ensure that your health is protected and that your goals are being met. We will adjust your fitness regimen as needed. Finally, our doctors will review the results of your fitness program and give you the advice you need to continue to exercise on your own.

The Doctor Physical Therapists and our Exercise Specialists have done extensive research to build our own program to combat the advancement of the disease. We’ve combined the best of non-contact boxing, t’ai chi, strength training, and yoga into our own Power over Parkinson’s program that reflects the healthy lifestyle we always promote at Florida Personal Training. The classes are located at the North Naples Studio at 23840 Trails Edge Blvd Unit #7, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134 and lasts for 50 minutes.

Our Power over Parkinson’s classes will provide you the opportunities to be part of a positive group dedicated to controlling and, ideally, improving your quality of life.

Meet Dave Lessard. Dave is one of our Physical Therapists here at Florida Personal Training.  

He received his physical therapy degree from the University of Ottawa in Canada and has been practicing since 2012. He also completed his Bachelor degree in Kinesiology at Laval University in 2010.

Dave grew up playing football and hockey, and has been involved in sports since then. He has worked with athletes of all levels, from high school to professional athletes. His passion for football brought him to work as a physical therapist and coach in high school and college level.

His previous physical therapy experiences were in outpatient clinics in Canada, Florida and Hawaii where he worked with a diverse population. He also worked as a personal trainer where he helped clients to achieve their goals.

Daves favorite quote is, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”


When people are struggling to see results, they often say this…

“I’ve been really good lately...”

“I ate healthy over the weekend...”

“I worked out every day this week...”

And it’s always followed by this…

“But my weight hasn’t changed!”

I’m going to give you a hard truth.

What you do sometimes doesn’t matter.

What you do consistently does!

If you consistently pick at snacks throughout the day, but don’t ‘count’ them, you won’t see results.

If you consistently drink extra calories, but don’t think about it, you won’t lose weight. You might gain weight!

A good week or two is a drop in the bucket compared to years of bad habits.

It takes time to create a healthy environment for your body to lose fat properly.

If you consistently work out 3-4x per week for 3+ months, you will see results.

If you track your food for a month, you will most likely see results.

Stop trying to rush your weight loss.

It’s causing unnecessary stress and it’s demoralizing.

Focus on healthy actions that you can be consistent with.

When you find something that you can stick with long-term, the only outcome is a successful one.

Florida Personal Training does house calls!

For many of our clients, going to the gym is inconvenient or intimidating. We have many clients we meet at their own preferred location. It may be at their home, in a community fitness center, or even some private gyms.

How it works
If you have the space or equipment to do personal training at your own location, it’s easy. You set an appointment and one of our highly trained professionals come to you.

What is required
Obviously, you need the correct space and facilities for whatever it is you want your trainer to help you do. For example, if you want a full weight training workout, you need to have the equipment to do the exercises. Yoga requires floor space. If you are working in a community fitness center, just make sure you are allowed to have professionals there. Private gyms often have their own fitness professionals and frown on or completely disallow bringing in your own trainer. Just make sure in advance what is possible and allowed. Our trainers don’t want to put you or anyone else in an uncomfortable situation.
If you have a friend who wants to work out, be sure to take a look at our buddy training or group training options.

At Florida Personal Training our trainers deliver safe, effective, fun, and interesting workouts (in that order) to all fitness-training clients. The training programs are developed to be varied and progressive, and geared toward improving our clients health and wellness. Our trainers are enthusiastic and supportive, so that our clients remain interested and stimulated, which helps ensure you stick with the program.

We provide One-on-one, buddy, or in-home Personal Training. Programs include strengthening, weight-loss, functional exercise, nutritional counseling, and postural re-education.
