Dave Hopla Shooting Camps in Tampa and Sarasota were a major success! Dave shot a total of 945 for 954 for the weekend. Playing Hard - Last night at our AAU Tourn. -5th thru 8th grade divisions. It was startling to see players that played hard and those that didn't. This is a simple game, there is NO Substitute for playing hard. The little things of playing hard -diving for loose balls, sprinting in transition, boxing out consistently. Play like your Hair is on FIRE! Great Job to all the Hustling Players!

Ride the Ball - remember when dribbling the ball, the longer I can keep my hand on the ball, the lower the chance for a turnover. Dribble firmly, go down and get the ball with your hands, keep you hand on top and ride it like a pony!

Toe to Target - When shooting the basketball it is critical to have 10 toes at the target. Many young players have their feet to the left (right handers - left handers feet are to right) of the target to gain strength and increase range by snapping their hip. MISTAKE! This is the shortcut to distance and will severly effect accuracy! Ten Toes to the target....for a straight shot everytime! Best Swishes!!!!!!!
