Don't compare yourself to people who are further along in their fitness journey

Be willing to look silly and make mistakes without judging yourself. Keep trying, and with every workout you'll get better and better. Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection. And in a group environment, don't compare yourself to anyone else in the room. While others may move seamlessly and appear to have superhuman strength, remember that they were once beginners too. Don't compare your chapter one to someone else's chapter eleven.

I don’t know who makes up these ‘national days’, but I am definitely behind this one.

Eating whatever you want does not mean overeating. It’s completely possible to eat any food you like and still lose weight.

It’s one of the principles that we teach here at Florida Personal Training.

✏️ WHAT IS DRY NEEDLING?
Dry needling is a modern western medicine technique that uses needles that are inserted to a specific location through the skin into areas of the muscle called trigger points. Trigger points are a taut band of skeletal muscle that can be tender, sore, and may cause pain to the touch as a result of some trauma done to the area.

Children benefit when parents increase their own daily physical activity.

One study explains that a “child’s level of physical activity rises by 5 to 10 minutes for every 20-minute increase in the physical activity of a parent.” Similarly, children walked an additional 200 to 350 steps for every 1,000 steps that a parent walked. This connection is important to keep in mind when encouraging children to get the recommended 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) per day.

Introduce your kids to fitness through fun, high-energy group class they’ll love. Have fun with circuit training and games, develop skills to increase strength, balance and cardio capacity through the art of play.

Our team has partnered with Power Kids Wellness to bring the SWFL community a week of FREE Teen & Tween Fitness classes!

These classes are designed to give kids aged 8+ the chance to learn the fundamentals of fitness and how to train properly on a structured program. We provide the same science-based, field-proven training methods that we use with all our athletes in an age and developmentally appropriate manner. Our classes focus on Resistance Training, Cardiovascular Training and Interactive Games. Class sites include the studio or outdoors depending on season. Team activities may be included.
