They're coming. Got jigs? Mustad Ultra Point hooks are the crux of a pompano's problems.

One of my first customers, Paul Rhodes, fought this drum for 45 minutes on 8lb tackle. I see a beat up Poorman's Jig against his shirt that lived to see another fish...maybe. Awesome job, Paul, and thanks for sharing the pic!

You won't find fisherman using these tube jigs too far outside of Collier county. Good news travels fast, however, and they've been spotted being used near shore on Sanibel and Boca Grande for large mangrove snapper. This particular batch it's going to Phil Haley, a Collier native charter captain. Enjoy.
