League Rules as of 5/5/2026
1.) Each team will elect a captain and assistant captain in case things need to be handled at meetings or in person conflicts.
2.) Captains meetings may only be attended by captains or assistant captains in the absence of the captain.
3.) Any players who do not have an established average in any leagues (close or far away) will enter the season for their first 2 matches as a 20 in 01 and a 2.0 in cricket. Then it will adjust to that season’s average afterwards.
4.) All established rules require at least 66% of the captains or assistant captains present at that meeting (1 vote per team) to agree to change anything. New rules being added only need 51% or more of present captains or assistant captains in attendance to add a rule to the league.
5.) If there are any league wide issues with boards or league settings it is up to the liaison and person running the league to decide whether results stay the same or if that week needs to be replayed.
6.) Teams may add and remove as many players during the season as they’d like, understanding that only so many players can be added to a roster and people will have to be dropped to do so.
7.) All seating for any bar must be behind the throw line. Nobody may sit equal to or in front of the throw line from any perspective.
8.) Legacy Rule: All teams previously established in this league who go into a new season have first dibs to remain at their previous seasons bar. If they move to a new bar that spot is now open for any team to take. If there is a dispute between two teams looking to play at the same bar but there’s only space for 1 team the team that’s been established longer gets to choose.
9.) We will play stacked score 01 with the handicap going up instead of down. As well as Cricket 200.
10.) If you have not played for at least 2 weeks before a position round you may not participate in a position round.
11.) Banquets will be held on the third Saturday after the final week of the season.
12.) New Seasons will start 2 Tuesdays after the banquet. Rosters must be submitted no later than Friday by 5PM to the Liaison ( Tim Hynes ) or person in charge of the league ( Alida Hunnewell ) before the start of the season.
13.) We will ask for Money to be added every season by Gametime for our banquet blind draw. If we receive money from Gametime, only people who have played a minimum of two weeks the previous season may participate. If Gametime does not contribute money, anyone may participate in the blind draw.
14.) If you do not sign up within 15 minutes of the blind draw first being called you will be unable to participate in the blind draw as we attempt to get the draw moving along as quickly as possible.
15.) For the banquet blind draw, if there are 28 participants or less (with at least 4 boards) the format will be best of 3 501 stacked scores handicap (on, off, on) and Cricket (on,on,on). If you lose, you will go to the loser bracket with the same scenario of games. The games go in order of 501, cricket, Coin flip or di**le for third game choice of first or game choice. If we have 3 boards or less or more than 28 people, the format will be any teams who have not lost will play 501, cricket winner of di**le or coin toss gets choice of first or game. Loser’s bracket will be 1 game only. Teams will decide who choses with a coin flip or di**le. Team who wins that has the option to go first or pick from two games Cricket or 501 master in master out.
16.) To qualify for Individual awards, you must play in at least 50% of the weeks that season.
17.) If a dart sticks into the board but does not register or misregisters to a different result the opposing teams captain has the right to choose whether to keep it as is or allow you to change it for the correct result.
18.) 24 hours notice is expected to be given to make up for a match, otherwise, it is up to the opposing teams captain whether they want to claim a forfeit or not.
19.) If a team wishes to reschedule a match, the opposing team is expected to try and make a makeup date work. Only if a team is incapable of rescheduling before the position round may they make a claim for a forfeit. The team asked for a reschedule will pick a date, time and location that works best for them and it will be up to the team asking for a reschedule to make it work otherwise the team asked for a reschedule may take a forfeit from their opponent as a result.
20.) If a forfeit occurs both teams are still expected to give either the liaison or the person running the league $28 per team to cover the money for awards.
21.) If a team forfeits, it counts as a 0-13 result for that week.
22.) Any team may play if only 3 players are present. However, if only 2 players are available you must reschedule.
23.) If a makeup match is needed it cannot be made up any later than the Thursday before the next position round.
24.) If there needs to be a tie breaker for position rounds purposes only, it will be whoever won the last matchup between the two teams.
25.) If multiple teams tie for first place by the end of the second position round it will be up to the captains involved to decide how they would like the season to end. Either by co-champs or with whatever the captains agree to as a tie breaker. If a decision cannot be agreed upon the default will be co-champions.

The Banquet is over and a success. We had 32 players competing to take home the Howie Trophy for the 2026 year. In the end, the last team Standing was Shanelle & Justin. In 2nd Place was Ruffino and Wes. And 3rd place went to Davy and Tim.
Thanks again to Gators' Crossroads for hosting! Look forward to seeing everyone next season! Will let you know when I know!
