NFL Week 3 takeaways!

Patriots: The Patriots are struggling so far. With a record of 1-2 and coming off a blowout loss against the Jaguars the Pats need to get things in order or they could miss the playoffs. Next week is on the road against Buffalo.

Buccaneers: I know it’s early but is it time to hit the panic button? Starting 0-3 isn’t the greatest and with seeing Baker Mayfield getting hurt makes things even worse. Next week is at home against Green Bay and they will be without Baker.

Browns: 2-1….yes the Browns are 2-1 and tied for the division lead, granted the entire AFC North are 2-1 but that’s besides the point. Both wins were closely contested games but they showed promise. Next week is against Pittsburgh at home and if they win they could lead the division…stay tuned.

Week 4 College Football takeaways!!

Ole Miss: Sitting pretty as the #4 team in the nation traveled to the Swamp to face Florida and got destroyed. The Rebels couldn’t stop the run game Florida showed as they gave up 302 yards on the ground and 6 touchdowns. Losing hurts their chance to make the CFP especially with games still against Texas and Georgia.

Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons traveled to Louisville and delivered a massive upset in a hard fought battle. Beating the 16th ranked team in the nation could push Wake Forest into the Top 25 with a 3-1 record. Don’t sleep on the Demon Deacons.

Texas: I know it’s only 4 games into the season but there is a trend when it comes to the Longhorns. Playing Texas St and UTSA they beat them by a total of 89 points while giving up 13, playing Ohio State and Tennessee who are ranked teams they struggle scoring a total of 44 points and giving up 40. They travel to Oklahoma next and after that if all stays the same in the rankings it turns into a gauntlet. If they can win and do it effectively they could be in the drivers seat to win the National Championship.

Side Note: Oregon Duck QB Dante Moore was taken via ambulance after a dirty hit from USC linebacker. Moore has movement in all his extremities. It’s been a tough year for the Ducks and with injury could plummet Moores draft stock drastically.

A few of the top MLB stars from the previous season haven’t been playing like that this year. Here’s my take on some of those players

Cal Raleigh: After an amazing season last year the Mariners catcher struggled mightily this season. Raleigh hit 60 home runs and had 125 RBIs last year but hasn’t even made half the home runs this year as he only has 23. Injuries may have been a factor for this but it’s been a tough year for Cal.

Paul Skenes: Pirates top pitcher Paul Skenes has had a dismal end to the 2026 season. While he has the same amount of wins as he had last year he’s ERA is where the trouble lies, in 2024 and 2025 he had an ERA of 1.96 it climb to 3.91 this year as it seems players may have found out how to rattle Skenes cage. Skenes who was once seen has the star Pittsburgh needed may soon find his way out if things don’t improve.

Vlad Guerrero Jr: The Blue Jays gave Vlad a contract extension of 14 years, 500 million dollars at the start of the season for the work he’s done the past few seasons, this season was his worst since 2020. Hitting only 9 home runs and driving in 56 runs this year doesn’t seem like a good sign for a player who just got a massive contract extension. Hopefully he improves next season, if there’s going to be a next season.

Here are my NFL Week 2 takeaways:

Chargers: Starting 0-2 isn’t what Chargers and Harbaugh were expecting. Losing two games at home to teams that they should have beaten is a real concern as they were expected to be a decent team this year. Next two games are on the road against tough opponents and if they don’t turn it around they could be looking at 0-4.

Raiders: Here’s a surprise team thats 2-0. Now don’t look to much into this as these wins are against teams that aren’t a real threat, keep an eye on week 4 as they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Chiefs. If they come away with a win there than we can talk more about them.

Eagles: A 2-0 start is expected but a concern with this start is the struggle against both teams that they beat. Both the Titans and Commanders gave them trouble and battled them till the 4th quarter. Monday is against the Bears and the Bears will be using a 3rd strong QB so hopefully Philly can show some strength in this one.

Week 3 of College Football is over here’s more takeaways:

USC: The Trojans struggled mightily against Rutgers as the game went back and forth until the very end. With that being said the Trojans are 4-0 and will host an Oregon team that is struggling but is in hopes to turn it around. It’s conference play time and it’s an uphill battle for the Trojans now.

Florida: Welcome to the top 25 Gators! A dangerous combination through the air and on the ground helped Florida beat Auburn in conference play and if this continues they could very well be a sleeper to make it to the playoffs. Ole Miss is next and it’s a home game for Florida so anything can happen in The Swamp.

Oklahoma: Dropping out of the Top 25 after beginning the season as #10 is quite the shock. They beat UTEP easily and struggled against Michigan(losing)and New Mexico coming away the win 14-7. The next two games for the Sooners can make or break them as the travel to Georgia and than host Texas. Hold on tight Sooners.

Thursday night match up has the Lions traveling to Orchard Park to face the Bills in the first regular season game in the new stadium. Last week both teams were in tight matchups but both pulled out the win. The Lions will need to come out strong and play well and the Bills need to keep Gibbs and St Brown in tact. Look for this game to go back and forth. Bills win 37-34
