Some of the comments I’ve received on my reels lately have been absolutely disgusting. And I’m not talking about people disagreeing with me. I’m talking about personal attacks, slurs, and comments that have crossed the line into being genuinely threatening.

I’ve been called a Karen more times than I can count. Which, by the way, I really feel bad for anyone actually named Karen at this point. What an unfortunate time to have that name.

The homophobic slurs, intellectual disability slurs, and just plain nasty comments have also been rampant across my posts lately.

And what was my most recent reel about? Alcohol is a drug. That’s it. I shared information about alcohol being a drug, and apparently that was enough to send some people over the edge.

I’m really hoping a lot of these comments are coming from bot accounts, but I know plenty of them aren’t.

I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. I actually welcome people challenging what I say. I think having conversations about alcohol is important, and I have no problem with someone seeing things differently. But I do have a problem with people thinking that disagreeing with someone gives them a free pass to be absolutely vile.

I hate blocking people. But I won’t hesitate when someone starts throwing around slurs or making comments that seem threatening. You can disagree with me all day long, but I’m not going to give you a platform to harass me or anyone else on my page.

And the irony of all of this is that I’m not even telling people they can’t drink. I’m sharing information about a substance that is so deeply ingrained in our culture that simply calling it what it is seems to make some people lose their minds.

I’m not going to stop talking about alcohol because some people don’t like what I have to say. There are plenty of people who appreciate the information, and those are the people I’m here for.

But seriously, some of you need to get a grip. It’s a Facebook reel about alcohol. šŸ™ƒ

The more I talk about alcohol, the more I realize THIS is where the disconnect starts.

Yes, humans have been drinking it for thousands of years. Yes, it’s legal. Yes, it’s socially accepted.

Being normalized doesn’t change what it is.

I’d like to thank everyone who has reminded me over the past few days that there are, apparently, other unhealthy things in the world besides alcohol.

Sugar exists.
Fast food exists.
Caffeine exists.
Pollution exists.
The sun exists.
Driving exists.
And yes, we are all eventually going to die.

This has been incredibly helpful information. šŸ˜‚

Apparently, if you talk about ONE preventable health risk, you are now responsible for simultaneously discussing every other possible risk to human health. Otherwise, you’re a hypocrite.

OR… and hear me out…

I have a page about alcohol.

That’s it.

I can think sugar is unhealthy without running a sugar page. I can limit processed food in my own house without making videos about it. I can care about plenty of other health risks while choosing to talk about this one.

Talking about one thing does not mean I think nothing else matters.

It means I’m talking about one thing.

Anyway, I’ll continue discussing alcohol. You guys can divide up the sun, sugar and driving. šŸ˜‰

Yeah… after reading the comments on my Coors Light Cheez-It video, this follow-up needed to happen.

I originally posted this a few weeks ago on my personal page, but since Lady Buzzkill has a new home and it hasn’t been shared here yet, it feels like the perfect time to bring this one back.

I genuinely did not expect a video about a b**r logo on a box of crackers to make people this angry.

And after reading hundreds of comments, I actually think the reaction is proving my point better than the video did.

I know adults eat Cheez-Its. I know b**r cheese exists. I know there’s no alcohol in the crackers. I know I can just not buy them. My kids have literally never even eaten a Cheez-It. That was never the point.

My point is how incredibly NORMAL alcohol branding has become. Alcohol branding is so woven into everyday life that most of us barely register it anymore. A giant Coors Light logo can show up on a box of crackers kids recognize, and somehow questioning it is what people think is weird.

I cannot tell you how many comments say, ā€œAlcohol brands are everywhere!ā€

YES. THAT’S THE POINT.

Kids grow up seeing the brands, logos and messaging everywhere. So by the time they’re old enough to drink, alcohol has already been presented as a completely ordinary part of adult life for YEARS. And somehow questioning how heavily we market and normalize an addictive, carcinogenic drug has people absolutely losing their minds.

We wouldn’t shrug this off with other drugs. We eventually decided cigarette companies shouldn’t be able to market their products however and wherever they wanted, especially around kids. Yet questioning alcohol branding is apparently outrageous.

I’m not asking for prohibition. I don’t care if adults choose to drink. I drank for years. Adults can understand the risks and make their own decisions. But I’m also allowed to question the culture my kids are growing up in.

And after seeing how defensive people became over me discussing a b**r logo on a box of crackers, I’m more convinced than ever that this conversation is worth having.

Anyway, apparently this is my most controversial opinion yet. āœŒļø

The more you start noticing how alcohol is normalized around kids, the harder it is to STOP noticing it.

And this one really pi**ed me off. šŸ˜‘

Parents, what do you think about this?

09/15/2026

When the facts around something make people uncomfortable it’s worth asking why ā¤ļø

09/14/2026

I had never heard this explained until after I quit drinking.

As a parent, I think it’s important information. If we know better we can teach them better!

09/13/2026

I’ve been on both sides of this conversation. And I understand why it makes some parents uncomfortable.

But I think it’s a conversation we REALLY need to have.
