The brand new Major League Rugby franchise, (Charlotte, NC) has signed Tennessee native for their inaugural season.

Shetler played for in high school, in college, and during the club season.

On his professional rugby contract signing, Shetler said: “I was excited to get the call from [Anthem Rugby’s] GM Brandon Sparks. Being so close to home and getting to take part in a brand new MLR team has been an awesome opportunity. I am truly grateful for Anthem RC and all of the coaching staff who believe in me and want to see me achieve my dreams. Ready to get work and can’t wait for MLR ‘24.”

Great things happening in Memphis! was approved earlier this month to receive $1.1 million in funding from Shelby County to renovate their fields.
