You’ve probably heard it a hundred times: “You need to eat more protein.”
But why does it actually matter?
Protein gives your body the amino acids it needs to repair muscle, recover from training, support strength, maintain bone health, and preserve lean mass—especially as you age or work toward fat loss.
The minimum recommendation for most adults is about 0.36 grams per pound of bodyweight per day, but that number is designed mainly to prevent deficiency.
For active adults, a more useful target is typically:
0.55–0.9 grams per pound for general health, training, and recovery
0.7–1.0 grams per pound for building muscle, maintaining muscle, or losing fat
You do not have to hit the perfect number every single day. Start by including a quality protein source at each meal and building consistency from there.
Save this post, calculate your target, and take an honest look at how much protein you are actually getting.

Everybody wants different results. Fewer people are willing to make different choices.
Sometimes progress means protecting your sleep, keeping the promise you made to yourself, or saying no to something that pulls you away from your goals.
It is not about never going out, never missing a workout, or living a perfectly disciplined life.
IT IS about recognizing that your habits create your outcomes—and deciding which ones need to change.
The choices may feel uncomfortable at first, but eventually, they become your new normal.
And your new normal leads to the results you are after!

So make one small change TODAY!

Absolutely all ears were harmed in the making of this video 🥲

The biggest battle to win is showing up.

Getting in the room and getting the work done is the most important piece of the puzzle when it comes to fitness.

The strength and the endurance and the results will follow: Just show up!

08/27/2026

You might start training because you want to feel better, try something new, or simply find a routine you can actually enjoy.
Then one day, you realize your body has changed too.
You’re stronger. Your nutrition habits are better. You have more confidence. And yes… maybe you even have abs for the first time at 38. 😅
The point isn’t that everyone needs a six-pack. It’s that when you consistently follow a program built around strength training, coaching, nutrition, and community, the physical results often become a side effect of the lifestyle you’ve built!

🚨 FITNESS MYTH : "If I can't work out 5 days a week, there's no point."
❌ BUSTED.
This is one of the biggest reasons people never start.
The truth? Research consistently shows that even one or two workouts per week can drastically improve mood, energy, insulin sensitivity, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being compared to doing nothing. More is generally better—but actually, the BIGGEST jump in benefits comes from going from nothing to something.
Stop comparing yourself to the person who trains six days a week.
Instead, ask yourself:
What's the schedule I can actually stick to?
One workout this week is infinitely better than waiting for the "perfect" week that never comes.
Progress doesn't belong to the people who are perfect.
It belongs to the people who keep showing up.
What's one fitness myth you've always believed? Drop it below, and maybe it'll be our next case to solve. 👇

Turns out the main thing we train is our mindset.

08/21/2026

It’s never too late to start building strength.
Research consistently shows that resistance training can help older adults increase strength, improve physical function, preserve muscle, and make everyday movements easier—even when they begin training later in life. Exercise that includes strength and balance work can also help reduce falls and support long-term independence.
So whether you’re in your 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond, your body can still adapt and get stronger.
The work you put in today can help you keep getting off the floor, climbing stairs, carrying groceries, traveling, playing with your grandkids, and doing the things you enjoy for years to come.
You haven’t missed your opportunity. Start where you are and build from there.

08/21/2026

Does “Later” actually ever come?
Later, when work slows down.
Later, when the schedule opens up.
Later, when you finally feel motivated.
But about 1 in 5 adults are chronic procrastinators, and for a lot of people, later slowly turns into never.
You do not need the perfect plan, the perfect week, or the perfect level of motivation.
You just need to start.
Today is a pretty great day for that!

If you’ve ever seen a face like this… Just squat lower.

08/13/2026

This is harder than it looks, so make sure YOU try it for yourself and see what time you can get!

The all time record is 4.5 seconds to burn 5 calories on the bike…. Soooo yeah, every second really does count. The goal is to get the fan producing 1500 watts of power MINIMUM

Good luck and happy biking!

Most people train for what they can see right now.
More strength.
More energy.
Less body fat.
Better performance.
But the bigger payoff is the one you feel 5,10, 20, or 40 years from now.
Being able to travel.
Get off the floor.
Carry groceries.
Walk up stairs.
Play with your grandkids.
Stay independent.
That is why strength matters.
You are not just training for today. You are building the version of yourself you will need later.

Coach Con Push-Up Competition: Part 1 💪
We put the women coaches to the test to see who could knock out the most push-ups—and they did not disappoint.
This is what we love about Iron Tribe coaches: they don’t just coach effort, they live it. They compete, they encourage each other, and they lead from the front.
Part 2 is coming next… and the guys are up.

Want to stay strong, mobile, and active well into your 60s and beyond?
John and his wife have been part of Iron Tribe for nearly 10 years.
Now in his early 60s, his goals look a little different than they did in his 30s.
It’s not about chasing quick fixes anymore.
It’s about longevity.
Keeping up with his kids and grandkids.
Staying strong for golf.
Moving better.
And building the kind of consistency that actually lasts.
That’s what we love about John’s story. He’s not waiting until he “feels like it” every morning. He’s built a rhythm, week after week, that supports the life he wants to keep living.
And that’s what Iron Tribe is all about.
Not just getting in shape for a season, but building strength, confidence, and consistency for the years ahead.
If you’re ready to start training for the life you want to keep living, send us a message with the word START and we’ll help you take the first step.

The workout doesn’t have to be perfect.
You can run slow.
Lift light.
Take breaks.
Modify the movements.
Do fewer reps than you hoped.
And still walk out better than when you walked in.
Because the true win isn’t always the workout itself.
It’s walking through the door when you almost talked yourself out of it.
That first step matters more than you think.
