I have had many questions this summer about rosy/ redness in areas of the face & cheeks.

1. There are SEVERAL skin conditions that can cause this.
The most common is couperose skin, rosacea, eczema, & contact dermatitis just to name a few.

2. You must seek a dermatologist's diagnosis to be accurate with your personal skin condition. Do not Google a diagnosis please.

3. After a medical diagnosis is attained then treatments can be discussed. Some of these skin conditions are not curable but can be reduced dramatically with the right treatment plan.

4. Depending on which skin condition you are dealing with you can be guided on what to use & what to avoid.

I've had a few clients ask if a photo laser facial would do the job.

In my opinion this is a process of proper skincare, life changes (certain things that have to be avoided to reduce flare ups), more than one treatment/facial & I would go to a doctor for IPL therapy. It's an intense pulsated light therapy that helps with inflammation, redness & uneven skin tones. I've seen some great results with this procedure.

I'm a result driven esthetician. It may be a process & you might have to go see a dermatologist before facial treatments, but if you're not happy, I'm not happy.
