I love cooking with wild game! This is a sauteed elk back strap with pepper sprouts. My cousin and his friend went on a spot and stalk hunt in the Black Hills of South Dakota and brought back this awesome treasure.
The back strap is widely considered the most tender and delicious piece of meat on wild game such as deer, elk, antelope and sheep. It's so tasty but so lean!
For dietary and performance reasons, I like to pay attention to my macros. This meal right here has:
Elk: 6 oz @ 330 cal.
48g protein, 14g carb, 0g fat
Sprouts: 3 oz @ 100 cal.
3g protein, 9g carb, 0g fat
BBQ Marinade: @ 100 cal.
2g protein, 5g carb, 1g fat
Meal total: 530 cal.
53g protein, 28g carb, 1g fat 🥩🥬🍷😁 PS- it goes great with a nice big glass of red!

Love using my wok to cook up some stir-fry! Infact, I use it for almost everything from scrambled eggs to sauteed chicken to searing tuna steaks!

So proud of this guy! Before and after here, a few months later training with me 2x a week! We tweaked his diet and macros a bit along with some hard work, and BOOM!
He went from 6'0" 155 lbs., thin, 18% body fat to 180 lbs., strong and 10% body fat! He's so fun to work with, and an amazing client! I love what I do because of clients like Shawn! 👌🙌💪🔥
