To the Esteemed Readers of The Vintage Times,

Through circumstances most vexing and entirely beyond the control of our industrious printers (or so they insist), this week’s edition has suffered a delay in publication. A troublesome contraption, possessed of a most disagreeable temperament, saw fit to hinder the operation of the press.

Nevertheless, a delayed chronicle is far preferable to no chronicle at all, and so we humbly submit the results of the weekend’s base ball contests for your consideration.

Though tardy, the news remains fresh enough to stir the blood and rekindle the arguments of the grandstand.

Now then, to the scores! ⚾️
