Another great tournament day at Albornoz Karate’s Peachtree Cup! 🍑🏆
Our NSK team of 17 “double medaled” in every division, bringing our medal count to 34.
Among the wins, we took home lessons for future training and competition—especially our 4 rookies. Proud of our progress, sportsmanship, and spirit as we kick off our 2023-24 season. Onward! 👊

Sensei Tommy Hood will be with us next weekend, August 11-13th, for technical training!

**Please note the time change on Saturday’s first session: 10:30am-12:30pm!

Green belt kids/teens and all adults are invited to attend.

It’s always bittersweet to send your dojo seniors off to college, but we couldn’t be prouder of nidan Sarah Cai!!

Sarah started her karate journey at age 5 under NVD’s sensei McCormac and became one of the dojo’s first (and youngest) black belts. She stuck with her training through many changes, her high school workload, and covid challenges. Not many can say they have nearly 13 years of training at 18 years old! 🥋👏

Sarah’s defensive hook kick is legend and her training days have no doubt inspired karateka of all ages. We’re honored to have been part of her life and training.

She’ll attend Washington University in St. Louis this Fall. Please join us in wishing her the best in her collegiate journey. We’re beyond excited for you, !
