We’re so proud of all the learning and growth that has occurred this season. We’ve got our sights set on the continued growth of Ultimate in Nashville and Tennessee as a whole.

Melissa Gronske (she/her) is excited to make her PUL debut this year with NightShade! Born and raised in NJ, Melissa currently lives in Raleigh, NC where she is a graduate student in the DVM/PhD program at NC State. Melissa found competitive ultimate right after graduating from Rutgers and is currently in her final year of college eligibility with NCSU’s Jaga Monsta. She’s also serving as the adult league coordinator for her local ultimate organization, Triangle Ultimate. On those rare occasions when she’s not in the lab or on the frisbee field, you can find her cuddling up with her dog, catching up on Netflix, officiating weddings, or crashing at her friends’ house for the weekend. After a few years camping and traveling out west, Leah Shorb (she/her) is stoked to settle down long enough to get back into Ultimate and play for Nightshade! Hailing from Massachusetts, Leah recently moved to Nashville to teach 8th grade U.S. History. After long days at school and working towards her Masters in Teaching, Leah likes to run around in the sun and play as much Spikeball, Goaltimate, and Ultimate Frisbee as possible, try new vegan creations, and hike/backpack! We are so excited that Kayla Ferguson (she/her) is back for another season with NightShade! Is raising kids a hobby? If so, that’s her hobby (HECK YES). In addition to her two girls, Kayla loves to kayak, bake, and attempt to garden. She is a mother, traffic engineer, and a pro ultimate player. What isn’t there to love? It’s Elena “Lemur” Rubino (she/her), back for round two with NightShade! A Jersey girl at heart, Lemur currently resides in Arkansas. She is an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where her conservation research focuses on how people and natural resources interact with each other. A big hometown welcome to Margie Quinn (she/her). Margie grew up right here in Nashville and began her ultimate career at USN. She then played for Dawgma at UGA, two seasons with Seattle Underground, a season with Toro and two seasons with Nashville's 'Shine. Margie is thrilled to be back for her second season on Nightshade!
