We recently had an email requesting the targets for both the 50 and the 100 yard targets. This was tested using a 2500X. The particular lane used tests RWS, Lapua and ELEY match. We also recently had an email asking why we were mostly featuring R 50 on our Test Range Group Of The Week posts and the fact is that the R 50 is outperforming a lot of what we have right now. That's not to say that the other ammo is bad, but the results speak for themselves.

Your Wins Wednesday!

"Just wanted to let you know--I recently purchased a Criterion Prefit for a CZ MTR--It has been great right out of the box but this morning in perfect conditions I set our club record with 25X's on a 25 bull card! I shoot at many clubs but PHA in central North Carolina has a very active 22 community --they shoot 6 classes twice a month--lots of fun and some tough shooters! Club record has been 24 forever but with my new barrel, a great lot of Center X and some real luck it is now 25.
Your service and quality is the reason I was able to do it--Love my Criterion!!

From John Whidden about his win at Camp Perry:

"This was shot on day 3 of the match. It was shot from the prone position (using a sling, the rifle is unsupported) and using a scope. The score is 400-39x. There are 40 shots there. Of those 40 shots, the 39 that were Xs would have been in a group no larger than .807" (about 20.5mm) at 50 yards measured outside to outside. For conventional American measurements, this would be .583" center to center at 50 yards.

This was shot with a Walther KK500 in a Tec-Hro Fanatic stock. The ammo was RWS R50 43-7BV-868 (Speed 328) from our test range. The scope was a Nightforce 15-55x Competition."

Our Crew has been a little light this week but for good reason. John Whidden and Mike were very busy at Camp Perry. And all of that hard work paid off because John took home the win for the CMP Smallbore Prone Any Sight Match. Mike and his wife Mandy shot the CMP Smallbore Prone F-Class Championship.
