CBC Showdown

CLAW was started over a decade ago by Jennifer Tidwell in Charlotte, NC. It has 3 main objectives: philanthropy, women’s empowerment, and entertainment. There are now CLAW chapters all over the country including DC, NOLA, and Austin to name just a few.

Nashville CLAW will be having our first planning meeting this Sunday at 4pm at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge. We will be consulting with CLAWSTIN, the CLAW chapter from Austin for organizational strategies. We are working on artwork and flyers for publicity. If you have ideas or efforts to contribute, come to the meeting this Sunday! We are looking for bookies, referees, Wrestlers, and fans!

Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge has agreed to host our first event on a Sunday afternoon! They’re also open to a Saturday afternoon if we can’t do a Sunday. Next step: we need flyer art, a referee, and we need to get the rules and procedures in writing.

Nashville CLAW (Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers) is a fun and philanthropic effort to bring strong women together, to support local bars, and to support local charities. We will meet twice a year for official matches and maybe more frequently for some unofficial arm wrestling fun! Pick your wrestling name, dress up and have a campy persona, and come throw down $10 to arm wrestle at one of Nashville’s many cool dive bars! Tell your friends!
