Stay hydrated and safe this Labor Day weekend! Thanks to a grant SeaTow was able to provide lifejackets for our project. Stop by our lifejacket loaner boards if you need one for the day. Just remember, life jackets worn, nobody mourns. TN state law states: Life jackets must be worn by anyone 12 and younger while the vessel is in motion. Vessels in TN include: all boats, jet skis, kayaks, and paddle boards.

Outside of designated swimming and surfing areas, the U.S. Coast Guard classifies stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) as actual vessels. 🏄‍♂️🌊

Therefore, it is the LAW to have a USCG-approved life jacket (PFD) on board for every single person and a noise sounding device like a whistle.
Additionally, federal rules require all children under 13 to wear their life jacket while on the water.
🦺✨

Stay safe, float smart, and always check your local state laws before hitting the water!
