What a FUN time we had in Kansas City while at Heart of America DanceSport! ❤️💃🕺

Of course, we couldn’t go to Kansas City without some Kansas City BBQ — and Jack Stack did not disappoint. YUM! 😋

Then we were off on an Outdoor Escape Game that had us exploring our way around the city, solving clues and having plenty of laughs along the way!

We finished up our Kansas City adventure at J. Rieger & Co. Distillery. What a great story behind this historic Kansas City brand and how it was brought back to life after Prohibition. We loved the tour, the history, the tastings… and yes, there was even a two-story slide! 🥃🛝

Competitions are about so much more than what happens on the dance floor. It’s the places we go, the things we experience, and especially the people we get to share it all with.

What a wonderful trip to Heart of America DanceSport! Organizer Michelle Hudson was incredible and made everyone feel right at home. We had a fantastic time both on and off the dance floor, and the TAOB Competition Team came home with some pretty exciting accomplishments!

🥃🍷 When you’re competing in your own hometown… what do you do for Fun Day? Belle Meade Winery, of course!

Our Volunteer State Dance Challenge weekend wasn’t ALL about dancing! We took advantage of being right here in Nashville and headed to Belle Meade Winery for a little team fun.

We started with their Bourbon Mixology Experience, tasting Belle Meade Bourbon and then putting our skills to the test by creating our own cocktail concoctions.

🥃 From there, we moved on to the Wine & Bourbon Food Pairing—and let’s just say, nobody complained about that assignment! Delicious!🍷

Both experiences were filled with fascinating Belle Meade history, great food and drinks, and plenty of laughs.

Sometimes the best part of traveling for a competition is the adventure you add along the way—even when the “travel” happens to be right in your own backyard! ❤️

✨ There’s nothing quite like competing at home! ✨

Our Art of Ballroom competition team recently took the floor at the Volunteer State Dance Challenge right here in Nashville—and there was some TOUGH competition! We are so proud of the way our competitors stepped up, danced their hearts out, and represented TAOB both on and off the floor.

A huge thank you to David Medeiros for hosting such a beautifully run competition and for being so incredibly generous and welcoming to the students. It was a wonderful event from beginning to end!

And one of our favorite parts? Seeing SO MANY of our TAOB students come out to cheer on their fellow dancers! ❤️ You filled the ballroom with support, joined us on the floor for some general dancing, and made the weekend feel like a true studio family event.

✨ Grease & Glitter was a blast! ✨

What a fun night! We kicked things off with a fantastic East & West Coast Swing group class before dancing the night away to all the greatest hits from Grease.

Our Pink Ladies and T-Bird signature drinks were a hit, the tater tot bar disappeared fast, and the laughter and smiles never stopped!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so much fun. We love creating nights where great dancing, great friends, and great memories come together.

Congratulations to Rao and Kristiina Ilo on an outstanding inaugural year as organizers of the Orlando Dance Classic. They hosted a beautifully organized event with a welcoming atmosphere, fantastic judging, and a wonderful experience for dancers from beginning to end. Thank you for your hard work and vision—we're already looking forward to next year!

A couple of weeks ago, The Art of Ballroom traveled to the Orlando Dance Classic for an incredible day of competition!
Our students and instructors took to the floor in American Smooth and American Rhythm, showcasing months of hard work, dedication, and a true love for ballroom dancing. We couldn't be prouder of everyone who stepped onto the floor and represented our studio with confidence and grace.

Since we were already in Orlando, we decided to turn the trip into a little adventure by adding an extra day together—and what better way than a VIP Disney Tour! It was the perfect chance to celebrate, laugh, and make memories as a dance family.
These are the moments that make ballroom so special. Yes, we love to compete—but we also love the friendships, the experiences, and the memories we create together along the way.
