This is a nice tour because we unpack only once and use the charming town of Montecatini as our launching point for daily memorable Tuscan adventures. There's something to be said about getting to know the hotel owners and staff that make you feel at home.
Also this is a very reasonably priced tour for such a great experience.
Even though we leave Montecatini everyday for an adventure the town itself is pretty magical. We stay in a more modern section (built in the 1800's) where there are conveniences of restaurants, shopping and a piazza to people watch. Behind us is a section from the 1880's with more of the Gilded age feel. Grand, opulent structures with a big park and rows of shopping cabanas. From there you can take the Funicular to the Medieval hill top section of town for more restaurants and an amazing view of the near by Tuscan towns.
I have a million pictures on my phone to show you. Message me through the website and we can get together to talk more about this tour.
This tour will fill up very quickly so please get with me soon

STANLEY KEG CHAMPIONS
Cannolis - 4
Legendary Blades - 3
In the upset of the year, the undefeated Legendary Blades were upended by the Cannolis in the Stanley Keg Final. Coming into the game as a heavy underdog, the Cannolis would have to play close to a perfect game and capitalize off the Blades mistakes. In a game meant for the movie Slap Shot, the Cannolis pulled out the victory!
In the first, the Blades took an early lead when a shot from the top of the left circle snuck past goalie, Jared Thackxton. The Blades, used to putting up numerous goals, were held to 1 in the first period.
In the second period, the Blades would extend their lead to 2-0 on a rebound in the crease. Despite this, the Cannolis were outshooting the Blades and controlling the pace of the game.
The Blades started the third period with another goal and took a commanding 3-0 lead. With 4:00 minutes remaining in regulation, the Blades were on a power play when Bobby Brady was sprung for a breakaway and score to make the game 3-1. A cross check shortly thereafter would result in a power play for the Cannolis and the craziness ensued.
Scott Fulsom was in front of the net on the power play when he was violently cross checked by the Blades goalie. While trying to get a rebound, Fulsom, fell on top of the Blades goalie who removed his gloves and began beating Fulsom worse than Scottyâs wife when he refuses to do laundry. The Blades goalie was ejected from the game and the Blades would have to play the remaining game without a goaltender.
With 41 seconds left, the Cannolis pulled their goalie and Damien Windholz scored a goal with 20 seconds left. 6 seconds later, Jonathan Morciglio netted his 4th of the playoffs to tie the game 3-3 as the game went to overtime.
In overtime, Morciglio buried a goal to cap off an insane game and first Upper C Season at Bellevue. The Cannolis 4-3 win is their first Stanley Keg since their inception in 2016.
Fulsom was tossed from the game before the dramatic comeback and we caught up to him in the locker room to see what he thought about the overtime victory. Fulsom said, âWait...we won? I was just crying in the shower because this is all my faultâ. Jared Thackxton said after the win, âMaybe now you all wonât talk about my 5-hole all the timeâ. Finally, Morciglio spoke about his two goals saying, âThat was so much easier to score goals without their goalie. I wish the net was always emptyâ.
The Cannolis start their next session to defend their crown on February 9, 2020 at 6:00 PM against the Legendary Blades. All fans in attendance will get a crisp high five from Damien Windholz who does not believe in fist bumps. See you at the Rink!

CANNOLIS - 7
Bash Brothers - 0
While it was cold outside it was hot in the barn! Because it was Arnold Gagnon night at the Cannolis game! Women lined up around the building to get a photo opportunity and an autograph from the man considered the Brad Pitt of the Nashville Adult Leagues. The 15 women, who clearly donât know how lines work, waited patiently for Gagnon to appear from the locker room and share a moment before he stepped on the ice.
The Cannolis also brought the same heat to the ice in a route of the Bellevue Bash Brothers. The Cannolis came out on fire with John Hust and Jonathan Morciglio making magic on the first line. JM had a hat trick and an assist in the first, while Hust had 2 goals and an assist himself.
In the second, no one could score as everyone was in awe of Zach Goldsteinâs superior skating ability. While no one told him to do triple axels, no one DIDNâT tell him not to do them. In any event, all 15 ladies loved it.
The raucous crowd heated up in the third and Rick James found some âunityâ on his line and fed John Hust a sweet assist for his third goal. Later in the period, Gagnon found Reiss Pellegrino and Pellegrino fed Joe Rosvold for a goal with 4 minutes left in regulation. A huge roar erupted from the 15 ladies after Gagnonâs assist as they would love to also assist him after the game.
Jared Thackxton took it home to record his first shutout of the session as he recorded 15 total saves. Jared said after the game, â I had a lot of time to work on my skating around the goal, so I did.â When asked about his first shutout of the season, Thackxton replied, âThis is what I asked Santa for the last six years, but I am always on the naughty list.â
Jonathan Morciglio was interviewed after the game and he stated, âHust and I worked well on the same line. If Jerkins could learn to coach, he would realize that by now.â Hust added, âI usually play defense and I have told Jerkins 500 times that I can score goals and he wouldnât let me go.â Jerkins responded by stating, âWhat a brilliant coaching move putting those two on the same line. The coach deserves the recognition.â
The Cannolis wrap up the regular season next week against the Cake Eaters. The Cannolis can lock in the #2 seed in the playoffs with a win. Itâs fan appreciation night and the first 20 fans will receive one of Reiss Pellegrinoâs kids. Trust us, there are enough to go around. We will see you there and bring car seats!

CANNOLIS - 3
Nashville Knights - 2
A late goal by Pellegrino lifts your favorite hockey adult hockey team to an outright claim for second place in the League.
The game began with both teams missing the net and hitting the goalies directly in the chest. While this was a bold strategy, the game was scoreless after the first period.
Early in the second period, Jared Thackxton was practicing his skating in the goal crease when some random dude got the opposing team decided to be a jerk and score on the good guys. However, this resulted in some strong Italian anger and Jonathan Morciglio (not Italian) drove the ice and made it a 1-1 game.
20 seconds after the Morciglio goal, John Hust ripped a wicked slapper to the top shelf where mama hides her edibles to make it 2-1. Unfortunately, Thackxton canât keep his legs shut and let a shot from the point go right under his funny business.
The third period was back and forth with both teams exchanging opportunities. It seemed destined to go to overtime before Riess Pellegrino decided it was time to be a hero. Pellegrino set up shop by the net and forced the game-winning goal past the Knights goalie.
We spoke to Pellegrino after the game who was deep in a conversation with the team about his dog pooping in the house. Pellegrino stated, âI have a bad back, bum ankle, headache, dry mouth, a sore pinky toe, and a third ni**le. But when the game is on the line, you have to put all of that aside and just be a gyro....â
Jared Thackxton took a break from Baby Yoda memes to explain his process. He told this reporter, âI like to start warmups by breathing on the ice really hot to try and melt it. I havenât been able to accomplish it yet, but Iâm not a quitter. When our team is in the attacking zone I like to check my phone for missed calls and texts from Fulsom on the benchâ.
The Cannolis are back to business on December 22. There are only 2 games left in the season and if you donât make it to at least one, you wonât get any presents for Christmas. That being said, Santa will be at the next game and will be granting your hockey wishes. Donât be concerned that Santa is dressed in a jersey and looks like Damien Windholz, just tell him what he needs to get you.

Legendary Blades - 11
CANNOLIS - 2
Ouch. The young 20 year old sandbaggers put a whoppin on the good guys last weekend and the sting finally wore off for an update.
In the first period, the Cannolis got the cream filling beat out of them giving up 7 unanswered goals to the team of all stars. In the second period, Jonathan Morciglio, scored on a breakaway to make the score 7-1. This was JMâs fifth breakaway of the game and he finally made one count.
The score was 10-1 when Zach Goldstein was hung up, unlike Jeffrey Epstein, in front of the net. However, Goldy fought to get loose and scored a sweet rebound for the second goal of the game.
Despite leading by 8 goals, the opposition decided to get chippy and received 16 minutes in penalties including an ejection. They now lead the league with 84 minutes.
After the game we caught up with some of the Blades to get their reaction. Matthew Schlagenhaft played in college, but leads Upper C with 15 goals and 23 points in 7 games. He said, âHockey is life when you grow up in the northeast and have few social skills. I liked playing in Upper B, but only scoring 5 goals in a season was causing me to be triggered. I am not about that lifeâ.
We also spoke to Shane Liddell who scored a hat trick for the Blades who said, âWhen you donât have a job, you can get to all the open hockey and stick time you want. Thatâs the secret, just quit your job and order your parents to pay for your league feesâ.
Despite losing the game, the Cannoli bachelors were able to make good relationships with the Bladesâ girlfriends who liked to see a bunch of guys that donât settle for less and have disposable income. Unfortunately, those ladies still believe they can fix the youngsters and they enjoy being the âmen of the house.â
In any event, the Cannolis are back tonight at 7:15 PM against a team that actually tries to get better every week. The first 20 fans in attendance will get a photo opportunity with Arnold Gagnon who is considered the George Clooney of the Bellevue Adult Hockey League. You can also buy a Pepsi at the concession stands with all funds going directly to the benefit of the Nashville Predators and Ford Ice Center.
See you there!

CANNOLIS - 5
Rampage - 1
The Cannolis continue the winning streak in front of a raucous crowd of approximately 30 spectators.
In his last game before beginning his tour of duty, Joe Rosvold, netted a hat trick and the assist machine, Damien Windholz, finished with three assists.
The Cannolis drew first blood when Rosvold took a feed from Windholz at 9:40 of the first period. The remainder of the first period was just a bunch of bad skating, name calling and Rusty Ware building snowmen in the crease.
The second period saw more of the same from both teams. Luke Jerkins took a stumble while trying to do a triple axel and Thackxton drank almost his entire water bottle. In the middle of all that action, Scott Fulsom blasted a shot past the opposing goaltender to make it 2-0 at 6:26 of the second.
The team decided to play hockey in the third and outshot the Rampage 11 shots to 2. At 2:34 of the third, Rosvold scored his second goal on an assist from Windholz. At 7:50, Windholz again found Rosvold to complete the hat trick.
With 59 seconds left in regulation, Jonathan Morciglio decided it was time to score, as if the 35 minutes leading up to his goal wasnât enough. At this point you would think that Thackxton would pitch a shutout, but think again. With 10 seconds left, Thackxton allowed the only goal against.
Thackxton continues his streak of giving up late goals to avoid celebrating shutouts.
After the game Thackxton said, âI stood on my head all night and I wish my supporting cast wouldnât have given so many breakaways. I am only one man and I carried this team for 35 minutes and 50 seconds tonight. I need some help out there.â
In his post-game, Joe Rosvold stared, âIt has been fun playing with all of these guys...except Thackxton. I will miss playing every weekend with them...except Thackxton. This has been a real joy...but Iâm happy I donât have to see Thaxton anymoreâ.
The Cannolis will be back on December 8, 2019 at 5:00 PM against the undefeated Legendary Blades. The first 20 fans will receive a Jonathan Morciglio growth chart. The growth chart only goes up to 5â6 so hopefully your kids are short.
* Joe Rosvold - 3 G, 1 A
** Damien Windholz - 3 A
*** Jared Thackxton - 16 saves, 1 GA

CANNOLIS - 7
Cake Eaters - 1
Bellevue - Your favorite Italian dessert hockey team moved to 4-2-0 on the season with a victory over the Cake Eaters. The team was led by Reiss Pellegrino with 2 goals, 2 assists.
The Cannolis opened the scoring when Damien Windholz remembered how a slap shot worked and sent a laser through traffic into the back of the net.
Only a minute later, Zach Goldstein sniped it past the goalie on a beautiful pass from Rusty Ware. This marks Zachâs first goal of the season which makes it easier to look past that heâs a Capitals fan...maybe.
Two minutes later Reiss Pellegrino went âAdam Banksâ on the Cake Eaters and scored back-to-back goals in a span of 80 seconds making him the most efficient scorer on the team. The team never doubted this as he has three kids, but itâs still nice to hear that he scores regularly.
Not to be outdone by Pellegrino, Scott Fulsom netted the next two goals for the Cannolis at 7:27 of the first period and 5:24 of the second period. The former was a sweet set up by Jonathan Morciglio who was allergic to the goal tonight, but still provided a nice assist and led the team in complaining on the bench.
The last goal was scored by Arnold Gagnon on a sweet breakaway for the most attractive dude on the team.
Jared Thackxton had 17 saves on 18 shots and surrendered his shutout with 1 minute and 8 seconds remaining in regulation. When asked after the game what he thought about the late goal, Jared stated, âConsistency is what this team needs. I have consistently given up at least one goal a game and I plan to remain consistent.â
While Thackxton apparently took that pregame speech a little to literally, the team continues to show progress and is now second in the league. The Cannolis are back in action next week at Ford Ice Center in Bellevue for a 5:15 PM puck drop. The first 30 fans will receive a lock of Bobby Bradyâs beard hair. Donât worry, it will grow back before the game ends, so supplies are not limited.
* Pellegrino | 2 G, 2 A
** Fulsom | 2 G
*** Windholz | 1 G, 1 A
