Music City Run for Dyslexia

Learning Matters tutoring and assessment center wishes everyone best wishes for the new year! Among our goals are expanding our SPIRIT program and hosting 800 participants at the Music City Run for Dyslexia on Sept. 26th!

Learning Matters is a Nashville-based nonprofit organization, established in 2006, that exists to help K-12 students with Dyslexia and other learning disabilities reach their academic and human potential by providing equitable access to the highest quality assessment, tutoring, and advocacy.

We envision a community where learning disabilities and learning differences are identified early, evidence-based interventions are available, and educational equity exists for all school-aged children.

Psycho-educational assessment, dyslexia diagnosis, dyslexia tutoring, orton-gillingham trained teachers, structured literacy, nonprofit in nashville, United Way for ALICE, metro nashville public schools, ADD and ADHD evaluation by clinical psychologists, Test of dyslexia, cognitive assessment, academic achievement and literacy.

Learning Matters is building a network of schools and partners that prioritize literacy and empower both students and teachers to thrive. Together, we’re helping students grow as confident, capable readers by providing high-quality literacy instruction and support, while removing geographic and financial barriers to receiving intervention. We’d appreciate your financial support so every student can receive the support they need to thrive.

SPIRIT Overview:
✅ Orton-Gillingham trained tutors provide intervention at each site.
✅ Twice-weekly one-on-one sessions for 36-40 weeks (fully funded)
✅ School teachers can be trained at no cost to identify Dyslexia and expand practice to the whole classroom
✅ Students and program receive all tutoring, curriculum, and materials fat no cost
