🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July!

🇺🇸 Many people fought on this land for my freedom to spend time with my family. .daniellehartman 💕

🇺🇸 I do not take that for granted!

🇺🇸 I’m also proud of my wrinkles, they are my battle scars that someone else fought for, I kind of did too.

"His nose is to big."
🔨
That is what Piero Soderini, the town mayor, said to Michelangelo while he was hammering away at the famous statue David.
🔨
Michelangelo did not like criticism but he did like this mayor or boss as they might have called Piero back then. Piero went underneath the canvas ( M did not want anyone to see him) to peek at what Michelangelo was doing and said to Michelangelo, the famous words above.
🔨
Michelangelo proceeded to hammer away with pieces falling to the ground, he then asked the mayor if that looked better and the mayor responded, "Yes, it does." Little did he know Michelangelo broke some pieces off to the side and left the nose in its original design.
🔨
“The artist doesn’t have time to listen to the critics. The ones who want to be writers read the reviews, the ones who want to write don’t have the time to read reviews.”
– William Faulkner
💡
Sometimes you have to stick with a thought or decision whether everyone agrees or not and hammer away until you see “David.”

Happy 33rd birthday to my oldest son who changed my life when I first held him. I did not know I could love a child like I did and even more so now.💛

When he told me he wanted to be in law enforcement I slammed every cupboard and went into the bathroom and locked myself in there to cry my eyes out. He came in, he was tall back then and knew I was battling tremendous fear, and he said it would be ok. I pray for him, his lovely wife and children daily.

He has grown tremendously with the responsibility of a large family and his career which is not easy. 💙🇺🇸

He is definately the serious one of the group of boys (2nd serious) but still fun!

I am so proud to call you my son. 📸 and Elizabeth 💕

After my first son was born, the hunt was on for a rocking chair, not an expensive hardwood but a soft pine rocker, one that could be etched in over the years and solid enough to last through several more children. That chair did not mean much to me then but 32 years later, it means a lot.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That child is now a Sheriff deputy for the OC Sheriff’s Dept working in a difficult time and season of the US. I may not rock him but I pray for him every single day. During those young years all the living room really had to offer was this chair, now it sits in my bedroom just waiting for another grandchild to rock. Sure there were a few pieces of furniture but they were not meaningful at all.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those other pieces are long gone but the rocking chair still remains.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don't toss everything out. Save some of the things that might be precious later in life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I really did not think of the future much when I was young but I do recall remembering all the hard work that went in to raising rambunctious children and the tears would go quickly but in the moment feels so long.
The rest of this story is on my blog

I have had the incredible pleasure of creating and wrapping for this wonderful family and hard working staff for the and family. has been hard at work for amazing clients such as the and several others. Also wrapping for a disabled caregiver, an inspiring Executive Director serving motel families who is also disabled yet diligently passed out food and clothing to the marginalIzed. 😌.

🎁 It doesn’t matter who our clients are, each one is important, each gift or basket or wrapping opportunity is a blessing.

🎀 Our entire team at feels that way.

We are very thankful for our clients.

Booker T Washington said this, “Few things can help an individual more than to place responsibility on him (her), and to let him (her) know that you trust him (her). @ Old Towne, Orange Historic District

🦋Whatever transition we might be in, widowhood, divorce, loss, job change, We might look forward to the transition however letting go of what used to be, the way things were, can sometimes very difficult.

🐥This is scary because our identity was wrapped up in the prior season of life. Feeling safe is that space.

There can be shock of the change that you may or may not want to happen, you can feel numb in moving forward then you will emerge into the new stage.

🦋This is where we grow, understanding this process which sometimes is so difficult yet can be so purposeful and an important part of the journey. Letting go of your old identity and move towards the future possibilities is key although a little painful. 💕

🦋 A good question to honestly ask yourself in the space between transitions is, “Am I reacting to my situation like anger, fear or am I responding, excited, looking at the big picture and learning to let go.” It’s not easy just ask the Eagle. 🦅 when the little eaglets are tossed off the side of a high perch. 😳
