Happy Super Blue Moon Night!

Photos from Tread Light Adventure Travel's post 03/31/2023

Been away from our page for some time. But Spring is here and beautiful flowers are popping up everywhere. Just had to pull out the camera to catch these beauties - and of course - share the wealth.

These images were captured at Timberland Park and the Natchez Trace Parkway (the Dogwood flower). Come out and see these before they're gone! Timberland Park has wildflower hikes all month in April and May. See the Williamson County Parks website for dates and times.

If you're in the Nashville area and appreciate travel and nature photography, be sure to stop in at the MBA Art Show and see works by me (Michael Hughes), as well as the works of other artists ranging from sculptors to painters to jewelry makers. These works are available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Mothers Club and Fine Arts Department of Montgomery Bell Academy. https://mbaartshow.com/

Socked in by the winter weather this Valentine's/Presidents Day weekend we turned our attention to the birds at the feeder. After some time I remembered I have a camera . . .

I was too late to catch Jupiter and Saturn together. But it wasn't a totally wasted effort . . .

Smokies COVID Escape - August 2020 08/27/2020

With Cabin-Fever at an all-time high, we planned an escape to the Smokies for socially-distanced vacation. The weekend trip was heavily dampened by some serious downpours; but we managed to enjoy the respite from the confines of the house. We hope you too can manage an escape from your recent confinement.

Met a fellow photog for an early morning, socially-distanced visit to Short Springs State Natural Area. We had about two hours of shooting time before other visitors arrived and we chose to leave. In the meantime we managed to get some good shots and this video. Still photos will be posted later.

😟You know the "Stay at Home" restriction is becoming a problem when:

You get in trouble for collecting the mail and denying your wife the opportunity to get out of the house for a few minutes.

(Not So) Homebound Diversions - 4 04/23/2020

A fellow photog invited me to join him on a "Socially Distanced" photo trip down the Natchez Trace Parkway. I couldn't join him. Afterwards he showed me images that had me chompin' at the bit to get out and do some shooting. Today, I snuck out for a couple of hours to see what I could find . . .

Homebound Diversions - 3 04/22/2020

In mid-February we made a long weekend trip to Florida to see family and do some adventuring/photography. I still have many images to review for editing and/and purging. These few immediately caught my eye for editing. These were all taken at Fort DeSoto Park south of St. Petersburg.
