Bound by sets of rules and guidelines our lives revolved around staying in line with those regulations as a way to minimize risk to ourselves and others. Everywhere we look there is an application of this principle in place instilled early in life. Driving for example allows us to engage on the necessary training and testing to allow us to be productive members of society while minimizing risk. Working is another case either by completing a degree and/or certifications needed we comply with the requirements set forth to ensure we can deliver and be successful on the workplace. While all of these have come to be second nature to all of us over the years it also poses a great dilemma, why don't we have a set of rules including training and certification for the most demanding of all professions? Why are we all left on our own when it comes to being prepared to become a life mentor to our youngsters? The impact we all cause on the life's of significant others as well as our children is unmeasurable by any scale. The purpose of this work is to create a single reference source for all things we must know when choosing to share our lives with someone else and raising children. From legal aspects to morality and values, everything we wish we were told or knew before engaging on the most challenging of tasks there is to men nowadays. Unfortunately these ideas have come as a result of trial an error on my end.
