Congratulations to Vicky Shofner for winning our first Kay Tankard Putting Contest. Vicky had the lowest putting average over 3 rounds (in any combination) of our major tournaments (Memorial, Handicap and Club Championship). Vicky averaged 31.33 putts while also posting an incredible low of 11 putts on the front nine in one of those competitions. Also, thanks to Bill Tankard for sponsoring this contest in memory of his mother, an outstanding golfer with a great short game.

Day 1 is in the books. Harpeth was able to come out ahead, but there are 20 points up in the air for Day 2, so it can still go either way. As usual, lots of good golf and fun banter.

Our annual Davis Cup Competition begins today. 20 ladies from McCabe and 20 from Harpeth will be playing 2 team matches. The first nine will be Alternate Shot (Foursomes) and then Best Ball (Fourball) on the 2nd Nine. The finals will be tommorrow with 20 individual matches. McCabe is hosting the event this year.

Rules Review: It's one of the most loathed rules in golf. So why again can't you take free relief from a divot hole? It feels unfair that you can't take a free drop when you ball ends up in somebody else's divot hole. But here's the reason why the rule remains in place
Here is why you need to post your scores on the same day you play.
