The very best part of celebrating 20 years?
The people we’ve met along the way.
The dancers who walked through our doors at 2 years old to take their first ballet class. The adults who decided to try a form of dance for the first time :) The teachers who have shared their love of dance and fitness with us. The families we’ve watched grow. The friendships that started in class. The people who moved away, came back, brought a friend, brought their children...and everyone who has been part of our community for a season or many, many years.
There are thousands of little stories in these 20 years, and each one has helped make DanceFIT what it is today.
So if you’ve ever danced with us, taken a class, taught a class, brought your child through our doors, or simply been part of our community...
You are part of the DanceFIT story.

10-12 years on an off, 17 year break, and I’ve been back for 3.5 years

What is your favorite color for dancewear, or your favorite dancewear piece?
Black!

What do you love to do when not teaching?
Spend time with my kids

Hidden talent?
Clowning - my high school job was working as a clown at kids’ birthday parties

Fav snack?
Coffee - if coffee can be a snack. . .

What song is “most played” in your class playlist?
Anything from musical theater

Best part of teaching adult dance, in a few words?
Watching people fall in love with ballet or reconnecting with their love of ballet

Favorite memory of teaching adult dance?
Watching dancers perform at recitals after working hard all session

Watch my kids do what they love. Cook. Walks. Facetime my sisters :)

Writing ballet instructional songs with Stacey Peasley :) (Ballet Barn Dance)

Smoothies!

I’ve been using “Speechless” from Alladin for Port de Bras.

Best part of teaching adult dance, in a few words?
The joy! Adults really want to be there.....they’re excited to learn, grow, and do something just for themselves. 💕

Our spring recital last year, when the adult beginning ballet dancers performed my choreography to “Tears in Heaven,” a tribute to my mom. It was such

🌟💃 Happy 7-year SHiNE-iversary, ERIN! 💃🌟

Today we must make a GIANT, sparkly, dance-floor-with-a-unicorn-on-it-sized fuss over our incredible SHiNE Dance Fitness instructor, ERIN, on her 7-YEAR SHiNE-IVERSARY! 🎉✨

Erin has been bringing the energy, the joy, the laughs, the themed dance parties (seriously… she is the theme queen!👑😍), and—most importantly—her enormous heart to our DanceFIT community since Day 1!

She has an absolute gift for making EVERYONE feel welcome, loved, celebrated, and completely comfortable being themselves. She makes us laugh. She makes us sweat. She makes us DANCE. And somehow, she reminds us every single week to take a little time to SHINE for ourselves. ✨🩷🖤🦄

Erin, we are SO lucky to have you. Thank you for seven amazing years of shaking it, smiling big, showing up with your whole heart, and making SHiNE feel like the happiest dance party! 💖
