Downloading all the frisbee knowledge I can get from living legend Steve “Pops” Scannell. Not quite Matrix speed, but I’m getting there at my own pace. Keep on jammin’ friends. We miss you Toddy. Saw 3 hawks circling us. ;)

In 2021 I asked the hall of famer of all frisbee hall of famers Daniel Roddick to share some of his “Stork wisdom” with me. He responded with these words…
“Walter, the essence of freestyle at its best doesn’t really have to do with any of the mechanics. At its best, Freestyle is a conversation between the players. It’s an exchange of ideas and feelings. And like a conversation. It can be shallow and trivial or deep and meaningful. Our command of different throws, catches and flights are the vocabulary that we have to express ourselves. Our knowledge of the wind is how we sense the tone and mood of our conversational exchange. And at its very best, the Freestyle exchange is a chance to have each of us be better than we could have been alone.
