🥍 Navarre Youth Lacrosse Families — Let’s Support Our High School Programs! 🏒
Join us for Ice Pirates Night with the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Sunday, February 7 at 4:05 pm and help support the Navarre High School Lacrosse teams!
Lacrosse is one of North America’s oldest team sports, with roots in Indigenous communities long before the United States existed. It is an amazing game because it combines skills we see across so many sports:
🏀 Basketball: Footwork, spacing, picks, defensive positioning, boxing out, transition play, and teamwork.
🏒 Hockey: Substitutions on the fly, goalies protecting the net, offsides, fast transitions, physical play, and constant movement.
⚽ Soccer: Field awareness, endurance, passing into space, communication, and team defense.
⚾ Baseball: Hand-eye coordination, tracking a fast-moving ball, throwing, catching, and quick reactions.
🏈 Football: Dodging defenders, reading the field, teamwork, fast changes of possession, offensive and defensive schemes, and the toughness to keep competing through every play.
That is part of what makes lacrosse such a great sport for athletes of every background—and why hockey is such a fun game for our players and families to experience together!
Tickets are $25, and $5 from every ticket sold goes directly to support Navarre High School Lacrosse. Please see the attached fundraiser graphic for ticket information and the purchase link. The fundraiser ends January 24.
Come enjoy a great night of hockey, support our high school players, and help build the future of lacrosse in Navarre—from K–8 all the way to high school!
