HAPPY FATHER’S DAY To all our KJSD DADS !!

2026 KJSD Competition Team
Hard work, dedication, sacrifice, grace, class and perseverance would be the words that would describe these 60 beautiful young ladies.
They began this competition season 11 months ago learning new skills, new technique, new choreography and lots of life skills along the way.
Countless hours of practice and four successful regionals later we made it to Nationals in Orange Beach Alabama.

Five days of competition, practice, master classes and some IMPROV challenges we can say we left it all on the dance floor and came home with the NATIONAL CHAMPION AWARDS to prove it.
Lily - National solo Teen Title winner
and judges Technique Award.
Leighton - National solo 1st runner up Senior Title winner and Choreography Award .
Junior duets - Macy/Olivia - junior champions with Baylen/Aspen 2nd Overall and Ellie/Maesyn 3rd overall
along with a choreography Award for Miss Chelsea.
Teen duets - Lily/ Leighton NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, Judges Award and SHOWCASE Winners
Macy/Olivia TOP 8 Duets and Showcase Finalist out of 113 Duets.
Senior Small Group - SILVER 1st Overall NATIONAL CHAMPIONS , Showcase finalist along with Choreography Award.
Teen Small Group- PROMISE - 1st Overall NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Junior Small Groups- PINK - 2nd Overall and Judge Choice Award and National Showcase Finalist.
You- 5th Overall
FAITH- 2nd Overall Elite Junior
Large Groups-
Petite - JUNIE B top score top TITANIUM , 1st in Category and 3rd Overall
Junior Large Group- HIP HOP 5th Overall Junior Large Group - TIME- 1st Overall NATIONAL CHAMPIONS Elite
BLUE - 6th Overall
Teen Large Group- VIVA- 2nd Overall, Technique Award and National Showcase Finalist for Highest scores.
Y2K line - 2nd Overall Junior Line
Our team dancers also put themselves out there for IMPROV CHALLENGE with several making it through ending rounds- It takes such Courage to do this!!
Our team members Ellie, Baylen, Aspen, Emersyn, Lily, Leighton and Maesyn qualified to participate in the Opening Number of the Final Showcase. These dancers practiced every morning 6:30am and learned an entire Production. Way to go!!

The AWARDS are FABULOUS and this team got MANY, but the Life lessons , memories, laughs, friendships, work ethic, technique and perseverance pushing through on the hard days are worth way more the AWARDS -
There are many times this team brought us to tears with their performances. The joy of other people, staff and teachers stopping to say “Where are you from?” Amazing work, love that dance, love that choreography is stating that this team came to “REPRESENT” KJSD and they did just that. “DWTK”
A shout out to our competition teachers/choreographers Miss Chelsea, Miss Sulli, Miss Emily, Miss Jessica and Miss Ashlee thank you for your creativity and dedication to this team.

When Day 4 of Nationals is over and everyone is gone, what do you do? You put in the rehearsal work for the final day of Nationals. The hard work will show on that National stage tomorrow.

While kiddos began the summer swimming and hanging out these dancers have been putting in countless hours of work to prepare for Nationals in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Sacrifice, determination, and hard-work defines them and what they have given to their team. WISHING THIS TEAM GOOD LUCK 🍀 We are so very PROUD of
