We proudly offer world renowned instruction in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling. We have classes in women’s Jiu-Jitsu, cardio and self-defense, and a children’s martial arts program. The team is lead by Professor Patrick Head who is a first degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who has been training since 1995. Patrick is natural leader and dynamic instructor, he takes pride in knowing that everyone ("not just the tough guys") that take his BJJ classes becomes engaged and proficient in the sport. Professor Head has many BJJ victories under his belt, most notably he was 2008 IBJJF Pan Ams Masters Champion, as well as Bronze medalist in the 2009 IBJJF NoGi Worlds. Patrick's experience, abilities, and attentive instructing methods make him an excellent leader for Triangle Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Your kid doesn’t need everything to be easy.

One of the things I love most about Jiu Jitsu is that it gives kids a safe place to struggle.

They’re going to get stuck. They’re going to lose rounds. They’re going to have days where something just isn’t clicking. Then they come back the next class and try it again.

Eventually, they figure it out.

That’s where real confidence comes from.

Not because somebody constantly told them they were awesome. Because they did something that was hard, stayed with it, and realized they could handle it.

I’ve been doing Jiu Jitsu for over 30 years and coaching kids for a long time. My goal has never been to create a room full of world champions.

I want tough kids. Respectful kids. Kids who can listen. Kids who know how to work. Kids who can lose without falling apart, make an adjustment and try again.

Those lessons will follow them a lot longer than any medal ever will.

The Jiu Jitsu is just how we teach it.

This is what happens when a 5 year old practices something until it becomes automatic.

Sebastian digs deep and hits a beautiful osoto gari for the takedown.

That didn’t happen by accident.

He has practiced that technique over and over again. Repetition put that tool in his arsenal, and when the moment came, he didn’t have to think about it. He just used it.

That’s one of the things I love most about Jiu Jitsu for kids. They are sponges!

Confidence isn’t something you talk them into. They build it through work, repetition and doing hard things.
