The more athletes understand POSTURE & POSITION the more valuable each set and rep in their training becomes.
It’s not about just moving a weight from A to B, no it’s much more then that. Sports are played in postures and positions. I tell my athletes all the time we are not training just to be good at training.
What good does it do if I can do a movement in the gym but I can’t do it with power, speed, or explosiveness on the field/court?
Learning POSTURE & POSITION at a young age gives athletes an advantage moving forward. When we line the body up the way it should be and learn to efficiently transfer maximum force from the ground, through the core, and to the targeted action (ex: hitting a baseball, sprinting, jumping, etc)
This is when training is effective. Learn, rep, perform.
I love these kids and the progress they are making this summer! 💪🏽
