Day 10! I’ll be honest yall. This day got me. I feel like we’ve started all over since switching sides. It’s like it’s easier for her but still have to teach her to do it. She’s hungry and wants to nurse, she’s teething and so tired! But we have to do it. I almost cried this lesson. Sometimes lessons are harder than others. As an instructor, I know that. But I know, and all of the other moms know that it truly is the best thing for them. Get them in when they’re this little. Let them get big mad and frustrated. But when you see them on the last day, oh what an amazing thing it is to watch. Yes, they may still cry, but to see them fall into the water with clothes on, and watch them save THEMSELVES without the help of a floatation device or someone coming to rescue them, it is miraculous! The tears truly start flowing from us moms when we see how capable they are of such hard things. That’s what I hold to on hard days like today. The end result is worth the tears. And I promise they don’t last. Most of these will come back next year and absolutely love lessons! But for today my mama heart is struggling teaching her💕
What other mamas have a hard time watching those tough lessons? I truly have a good mixture of moms that cry during lessons and moms that laugh, keep it positive, and make it fun. And to be completely transparent, the second ones are the ones whose babies start to calm down and love it quicker!❤️
