Next week will be our last week of open sessions as we finalize our rosters for the 2026/2027 season! Some June dates will be added for select ages (but not guaranteed).

Beginning in the 2026/2027 season, we’re excited to officially welcome Dave Pacheco as the new President/Director of Coaching for St. Michael Futebol Club!

Dave currently serves as the Assistant Coach for the UMass Dartmouth Corsairs men’s soccer program, a role he began in August of 2022. He also brings a wealth of experience from the club level, having worked with Expos Soccer and Futsal Club and most recently Bayside FC, where he has spent the past decade developing players and building competitive teams.

Prior to his coaching career, Dave played at Massasoit Community College and New Bedford High School, giving him a strong understanding of the game from both the player and coaching perspectives.

With his experience, passion, and knowledge, Dave’s leadership marks an exciting step forward for our soccer club. Building on the foundation we’ve already established, we’re committed to continuing our growth and elevating the competitive environment for all of our youth players within the Greater New Bedford area.

The future of SMFC is brighter than ever—stay tuned, big things are coming! 🔥⚽️

🚨⚽️ SMFC TRYOUTS ARE HERE! ⚽️🚨

We’re excited to announce that our upcoming club tryouts for the 2026/2027 season will take place during the week of April 27th through May 1st. These tryouts are open to all new and returning players, and we look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces on the soccer field.

As we prepare for the upcoming new soccer year, please note that new age bracket changes will take effect beginning in Fall 2026, as U.S. Soccer transitions to a school-year age group model. This adjustment is designed to better align players with their grade level and school peers.

IMPORTANT: All players, both new and returning, are required to sign up for tryouts using the Google Form below. Please make sure to complete the form prior to tryouts to ensure a smooth check-in process.
