This is a follow up on a recent video I posted regarding a theft of bicycles at Yesteryear during off hours.
HERE WE GO AGAIN !!!
Today at 12:39 pm 5 young "gentlemen" decided to ransack and steal bicycles from the rear of my business. Yes, these bicycles WERE LOCKED with a cable and are usually destined for homeless & needy people that petition through Gifts to Give and other local charities that we graciously donate for FREE throughout the year.
This particular batch was in the process of being shipped in an overseas container to Ghana for a new charity run by an amazing man Leon Monty, who we recently connected with.

This organization helps young amputees who cannot afford prosthetic limbs. They auction used bikes and use the money to help these youngsters walk.
Our local youth don't understand that stealing can sometimes have long reaching effects.
I don't expect any resolution to this ongoing problem I have and I don't blame the city or the local PD for it. As a matter of fact, our local police go out of their way to patrol my parking lot and store far more than they should and I'm forever grateful. No the problem lies with our kids and the lack of good upbringing they get today. You look at these kids and you'll see multiple races, colors & creeds. It's not a racial, political or ethnic issue.....
It's bad upbringing. This is where we need to focus.
I've said this many times in many PSA's and posts....
PARENTS....HUG YOUR KIDS MORE.

If you ride with earbuds, keep one ear open so you can stay aware of your surroundings, especially on shared paths and streets.
It's one of those small habits that makes a big difference in safety.
