Bishop Stang Hockey 2018-2019

Spartans came up short in a 2-1 loss against a very strong Norwell HS team in the finals of the Spartan Cup. Two very hard fought games in this tournament and the boys should be very proud of their performance!

Whats better than facing your biggest rival in Round one of the Spartan Cup? Winning that game! Bishop Stang vs Dartmouth is one of the most exciting, intense and well played hocke games in the area and it never disappoints. The arena was jam packed with fans from both sides and the game was fought tough until the very end. Bishop Stang capitalized on some great scoring opportunities to pull out a 6-3 win. Matt Dore was unstoppable as always in net maintaining one of the highest save percentages around! Finals against Norwell are Saturday at 4pm at Hetland Ice Arena!

Slight delay in getting the last round of game pics in! We had a 1 goal loss to Coyle, win against D-Y and a loss to first place Hanover (but incredible effort). Next game is 2/13 at 8pm against Dartmouth in the Spartan Cup at Hetland!

Nice 3-1 win to make Stang 10-1-1! Matt Dore received the Hard Hat for his 32 saves! All the kids put in 100% effort and a shout out to Nick Howarth for his two goals and to Caleb's "never give up, shot after falling" goal!!!!

The Spartans were able to continue their streak after facing Boston Latin on 1/12 winning 6-2! Last nights game vs Coyle Cassidy brought their first loss of the season with the winning goal against coming wit1.4 seconds left! 9-1-1 thus far and the boys should be proud!!

Stang goes to 8-0-1 on the season with a 3-2 win tonight against Bishop Feehan. Matt Dore in net. Last week, goalie Will Walsh had his first shutout for the win against Apponequet! (no photos unfortunately).

Stang continues its undefeated season but this time with a tie.
